7 Halloween Costume Ideas The Best Halloween Costumes For College
Halloween is just a few weeks away and the requests for costume ideas are rolling in hot! Just like last year, Fashion Nova sent over a handful of costumes for me to review. I’m not going to lie, they are pretty skimpy as are most college Halloween costumes but they are adorable nonetheless!
Sharing mine a few weeks early to give you some costume inspiration of your own! Of course, you could try and DIY these, but I find it much easier to just buy it all together.
UPS Driver
If you know me then you know the ungodly amount of mail that comes through my door each day. It’s a running joke between me and the girls I live with + the UPS man. They are never shocked to see another box coming. I thought this would be such a fun Halloween costume to pick up and truthfully, it ended up being my favorite.
This set has a cute crop top and the bottoms are boy shorts! As I said, Fashion Nova is known for skimpy Halloween costumes, but these bottoms weren’t too bad! Sexy but doable. The cute little hat says “handle with care”. To complete all of these costumes I’m wearing white booties that are also from Fashion Nova!
Mailman
Of course, if I’m going to be the UPS Driver, I need my best friend in the mailman costume! It would only be right, lol. This was definitely the most conservative of the costumes with a cute little dress. It has a few buttons you can leave undone but other than that, you’re fully covered in this baby! It came with a fun “letter carrier” that you could keep party favors in throughout the night.
Referee
The referee costume was too cute to pass up. The cut of this costume is identical to the UPS driver so it didn’t shock me that I loved it. These tops are so flattering when worn with a sticky bra to give your boobs a little lift. These bottoms are adorable and the costume also came with a baseball cap + gloves. Grab a whistle off Amazon and you’re good to go!
Cowboys Cheerleader
Perhaps one of us will be the ref while the other is a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. I swore I’d never dress up as something this basic but this costume is too cute not to wear. It’s got an adorable tie front top with a fringe vest to be worn over top. It’s crazy flattering and hits you at a super slimming spot. The bottoms are the same boy short fit. These are a little see-through in the back so be prepared to wear nude underwear. Oh, and don’t forget your pom-poms. They come with!
Buddy from Toy Story
My roommates are dying to go as Woody and Buzz from Toy Story so of course, I had to grab those costumes too. The Woody one comes with an adorable plaid top with a zipper detail along the front allowing you to decide how much boob is on display. As for bottoms, this costume came with literal denim underwear. They are similar to bathing suit bottoms but truthfully, I could never imagine wearing them out of the house.
Therefore, I ditched them and threw on my favorite denim shorts from Princess Polly. I popped on the belt it came with, my cowboy hat, and called it a day!
Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story
There were two different Buzz costumes on Fashion Nova’s site; I ended up going for the one-piece one rather than the two-piece set. This goes on similar to a bodysuit and has padded cups along the chest. The back is a little see-through so similar to the Cowboys set, you’ll definitely need to wear nude underwear with this.
This one also came with cool arm sleeves with the same green “leather” cuffs to match the shoulder details.
Schoolgirl
Schoolgirl costumes are always so popular amongst college students so I had to grab one. I wanted to love this but just didn’t. The top is super cropped with a tie front detail and the bottoms are a super short elastic skirt. You definitely need spandex underneath of this baby if you’re planning on dancing at your Halloween party, lol! There are two bows that you can tie in your hair too. It did come with little knee-high tights but something about them made the costume feel very…slutty? As you can see, I left them off.
Well that’s a wrap on this year’s Halloween costumes. We have three days of Halloween here so I think I’ll end up being the UPS driver, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, and then I want to create a flight attendant costume as my last day!
