It’s officially wedding season and with so many brides having to postpone their big day due to Covid, the invitations are piling up even higher than normal. As fun as weddings are, they are one of the most challenging functions to dress for.
Luckily, I’ve got you covered today with eight wedding guest dress ideas. I shot these mirror style since there were so many but don’t worry, I’ll be back within the next couple of weeks with more styles from Windsor + SheIn. In the meantime, enjoy this round-up of eight wedding guest-approved dresses!

There’s nothing sexier than a skin-tight little black dress. This bodycon beauty is from Fashion Nova and flatters quite literally every curve. It’s got a deep plunging neckline to flatter your chest and light shoulder pads that give way to the most amazing balloon selves.
These add so much dimension to the look and are a fun play on the synched material that gathers throughout the rest of the dress. Since this dress speaks for itself I’m sticking with slicked hair, a pair of hoops, and a cute chain link bag to complete the look.

Most fall weddings have a formal/cocktail dress code but every now and then there’s one that’s a bit more casual. For that wedding, this navy cowl neck dress is going to be your best friend. Few mini dresses are as flattering as this one—the neckline is so timeless and this a-line silhouette is so slimming along the waist. I’m adding simple nude accessories to finish off the outfit.

One of my favorite dresses of the bunch is this chocolate brown beauty! Everything about this gathered material is fantastic—hugging your hips beautifully. These dresses are so easy to dress up and make for an elegant wedding guest dress.
With padded cups and a bit of wiring throughout the bust, this baby will stay in place all night long while supporting your boobs! This does run a little small though so I highly recommend sizing up.

If you’ve spent any time looking at wedding guest inspiration photos on Pinterest then you’ve, without a doubt, seen this dress. This satin midi dress is the talk of the season—with a timeless cowl neckline, a synched waist, and a high slit to elongate the legs you truly can’t go wrong with this style! Pop on metallic heels and a cute crossbody to complete your look.

You truly cannot go wrong with a black dress. I especially love this piece because it can easily be dressed up or down for another occasion. And there’s nothing better than getting multiple uses out of something! I love the batwing sleeves and twist detail along the center of this dress.
It has a unique slit making this a good in-between of a mini and midi dress. I love the way black mules pair with this!

If you’re looking for a major confidence boost, pick up a bandage dress. I was skeptical about purchasing this one but man oh man did it not disappoint. This material will suck everything in, making your waist look extra tiny and your boobs super perky.
The only downside is that they are a little hard to walk in. If you’re someone who likes to go crazy on the dance floor, then perhaps this isn’t the style for you. Size up when buying this!

I’m convinced that one shoulder dresses will truly never go out of style. I’ve had a zillion variations of this dress over the years and it never fails. This taupe color is perfect for the fall and pairs well with accessories you likely already have in your closet. Plus, this could easily be worn for a work party or date night!
Last but not least I had to put this ruffled beauty to the test. I know this piece isn’t necessarily everyone’s taste but it screamed unique which is why I had to give it a go. I love standing out and weddings are the perfect place to experiment with a new style.
This dress obviously is best suited for a formal/black-tie optional fall wedding. Pop on comfy heels and hoops to keep the rest of your look simple.
Are you headed to a wedding this season?! If so, I’m super jealous! I had one in August and it was an absolute blast. I can’t wait for a few years from now when my friends start tying the knots! In the meantime, stay tuned for more wedding guest options coming your way. Cheers!
With love, McKenz
