Four Pairs Of Shoes You Need This Fall

Fall is here which means it’s time for a little wardrobe refresh! If you’re anything like me, then a new season is the perfect excuse to stock up on a few new pairs of shoes. Today I’m sharing four pairs of kicks that are perfect for every occasion. Whether you’re headed to class or out to dinner, I’ve got you covered!

Chunky Brown Booties 

Every girl needs a good ole pair of brown booties in their closet! I scored this pair from DSW and they are seriously the perfect fall boot—they have a 1.5-inch heel that gives you just a touch of height. They are super comfortable for walking around campus but are just the right shoe for fun fall activities like apple picking or pumpkin picking.

These pair perfectly with baggy jeans. I love the boyfriend fit + distressing of these Fashion Nova jeans. I wear them nonstop these days! Up top, I’ve got on the cutest sweater tank. This is the perfect transition piece for summer to fall. Of course, I had to pop on a felt hat—I swear no fall outfit of mine is complete without one!

Winter Weather Boots

I hate to say it but soon I’ll be trekking to class in the snow! I go to school in Ohio, centered right in the middle of the snow belt so we get our fair share of winter weather early on. For me, a pair of chunky combat boots are key. Not only can these withstand the weather but they work for the trek to class too!

I typically wear skinny jeans with a boot this style. They easily tuck into the boots so there’s no bunching going on here! Up top, I’m keeping things simple with one of my favorite “going to class” combos. I’ve got on a simple Body Contour tank from Express paired with my favorite flannel layered over top. Pop on a puffer jacket over top and you’re good to go!

Brown Braided Heels 

Temperatures may be dropping but that’s not stopping me from wearing open-toed shoes! I wear heels all year round, especially when they’re as cute as these! These braided heels are what Dolce Vita is known for. They’ve got a super comfortable block heel and braided straps along the toe box that don’t rub while walking. I have these in the bone and love them so much that I had to grab them in chocolate brown for the fall time!

To me, these shoes are the perfect option for a first date, winery, or grabbing drinks at the bar! They aren’t too dressy but they give you just a little confidence booster. My brown leather top has the most adorable puff sleeves and a cute tie-back detail. It’s super cropped so a pair of high-rise straight-leg jeans work beautifully with it. Can’t forget a hat and a fun chain link bag!

Rain Booties

Like I said, shoes that can get wet are key. I used to wear my Hunter rain boots to class all the time and as cute as they are, they are so gosh darn heavy that by the time I made it across campus, I felt like I’d just ran a marathon. Thankfully these short, trendy Chelsea-style rain boots are coming in style this fall. These keep your foot dry, your outfit stylish, and your legs a little less tired than your average rain boot.

Personally, I keep things pretty casual on a day of crummy weather. Aerie crossover leggings are my saving grace. They work well with literally every outfit. I’m going with the same kind of combo—a white tank and a cute little shacket thrown over top. This is the easiest, no-brainer outfit!
