If you read yesterday’s travel guide chock full of my Laguna Beach, California itinerary then you know what today is… time for me to sit down and round up all ten outfits I wore throughout the duration of my trip!
For reference, I visited in late March and temperatures were in the mid-sixties throughout my stay. It was definitely a bit brisker than I expected in the mornings/evenings so do yourself a favor and pack a couple of light layers. Other than that, my outfits were perfect for our three-day itinerary.
If you’re interested in seeing what we did, where we ate, and more details from the trip, be sure to read this blog post. Enjoy!

I picked up this royal blue maxi dress from SheIn a couple of months ago and have been saving it for the right occasion. I figured dinner by the beach was the perfect time to pull it out. The tiered ruffles + statement sleeves make for a killer combo.
As I’m sure most of you know by now, I’m a huge fan of straw shoes. I have several pairs of heels this style and was so excited to find a flat version of my beloved babies. Franco Sarto killed it with these shoes. I wasn’t sure if they were giving ~cool grandma~ vibes or not, but they are so comfortable that even if they are, I’m not sure I care. Of course, I had to tie this outfit together with a straw bag to match. This round one was my purse of choice this trip!
I threw this sweat set into my suitcase at the last second and my gosh am I glad I did. This time of year, Laguna gives off big “off season beach town” vibes. All kinds of locals are out and about walking and grabbing coffee each morning. No need to dress up for the occasion, just slip into your favorite sweats. This green set from Princess Polly has been my go-to lately.

There were so many cute flower stands around the area; of course, we had to stop and snag a photo. A two-piece set like this one is perfect for exploring Laguna for the day. There are a few miles of local beach shops, restaurants, and more to pop in and out of. Regardless of where the day may take you, this cutie set will work!
The skort keeps things a bit more practical + you can’t go wrong with the flat sandals.
The girls and I headed over to the water for a fun little beachfront picnic. I decided a romper would be best so I could have the look of a dress but the mobility of shorts as I sat on the ground. Plus, you can’t go wrong with gingham at a picnic; am I right?! It was a bit brisk by the water so I made sure to toss a chunky cardigan over top. I’ve had this one from Princess Polly for months now and I still reach for it nonstop.
I’m crushing on all of Petal & Pups new arrivals and this dress is no excepetion. Everything about it from the cut to the colors was perfect for our rooftop brunch. I kept things simple, tossing on a pair of baby pink mules to complete the outfit. Hoiwever, this dress was so effortless that you could totally dress it up for a spring wedding guest look too!
Nothing better than a morning spent by the beach. When I say bring light layers, a pin-stripe linen button-up will do just the trick. This green and white one came with matching shorts that were just too cute. I tried to leave the top unbuttoned with a white tank layered underneath but it was kind of… a lot. I decided leaving it unbuttoned and then tying it would be a much better option.
We were by the water so flip-flops were a must. Here I am wearing that straw sandal + bag duo yet again. Seriously, if you get nothing else for your trip to California, make it this combo.
I’m a sucker for this oversized, onesie-style romper right now. And while these certainly aren’t the best photos of this piece, I loved this one too much not to link it.
These are so comfortable and truly work for any casual day-to-day activity. It was especially nice for our two-hour car ride to Laguana. I tossed on my og gold lace-up sandals (yes, they are making their appearance for the fourth year in a row) to keep things simple.
Spring is here which means my love for pastels is resurfacing. This “dress” is actually a maxi skirt from Petal & Pup that I decided to wear as a dress for the sake of photos. I would have loved to belt this to give it a little more shape, however, thanks to packing in a carry-on, my space was a bit limited.
For a color-blocking moment, I popped on my mini pink heels and borrowed Jules’ handmade woven bag from Tulum! It was the perfect accent to this outfit.

I wasn’t expecting it to get as chilly as it did in the evening. We had one rainy afternoon where we did a little bit of shopping—I was so grateful to have brought a pair of jeans with me. I’m trying to make lowrise happen and truthfully, I’m not sure I can pull them off! Regardless, I tried these adorable Free People jeans.
I only had a few basics with me so I layered them all on: a white high-neck tank (I pack this regardless of where I’m going), my tried and true Dolce Vita Zina sneakers, and a baseball cap to mask my frizzy hair!

When you’re in Laguna you are in fact right by the water which means it’s only fair to go for a swim. I’d been saving this plunging one-piece for the sake of this trip and it was just perfect! Everything about this cut is so flattering and I’m shocked to report that this didn’t move around one bit!
