I took my first trip out of the country this spring break, touching down in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and it was amazing. It’s hard to believe some people are lucky enough to experience eighty-degree temperatures and sunshine all year round…
We spent time by the pool, ate all kinds of yummy food, and met the sweetest people! As always, I’ll be sharing all of those details in my Cabo Travel Guide. In the meantime, I wanted to sit down and share all of the outfits + and swimsuits I wore throughout my week’s stay in Mexico.
I had been stock-piling outfits for this trip weeks before so I had all kinds of fun, funky looks to wear. Per usual, I’m linking everything so that you can recreate these outfits for your own tropical vacay. I hope to be back somewhere warm soon, as I was totally in my element this entire trip! Enjoy.
*I also want to note that for this trip I did not link the photo locations as most of these were taken around the resort we stayed at, Hotel Tesoro.

There’s nothing I love more than wearing a little white dress after a full day of sitting in the sun. This Princess Polly one is perfect for vacay, brides-to-be, and 2022 grads! It’s got the cutest ruffle sleeves and is just the right length. I find that it runs a little snug so if you’re in between sizes, I would definitely recommend sizing up.
I love this because it’s super easy to dress up or down. I kept things “in-between” with a short pink block heel mule and a pair of dangly earrings to match. I actually borrowed these from Jules—they are from Cape Cod and are just the cutest.
When I saw this three-piece bikini I knew I had to have it. I’m a sucker for anything matching and this was no exception. It’s got a classic triangle top and those skimpy scrunch bottoms that have been all the rage this season. They are definitely more revealing, so this sheer mini top is perfect to throw over.
If you’re off to one of Cabo’s day clubs for an afternoon of drinking, toss a pair of denim shorts over and you’re good to go. This is perfect for that vibe!
I’ve had this orange straw hat stowed away in my closet for months now, just waiting to pull it out for this vacation. It’s one of my greatest Lulus finds and although huge, I knew it would make for the cutest photos on my trip. I styled it with just a simple white bikini to keep the center of attention on this statement piece!
Flora Farms is a must-see in Cabo. This property is beautifully landscaped with all kinds of local shops and an amazing restaurant. A frilly maxi dress is definitely the vibe for this place. I reached for this adorable pink one. Everything from the neckline to the tiered ruffles to the bow detail was perfect.
I kept things Mexico esq with a pair of straw shoes and a circle bag to match. I grabbed mine from Lulus prior to this trip, however, tons of local vendors were selling the same one if you want to hold off on your purchase!
I wish I had the chance to wear this look out… unfortunately, we ran out of nights so I only got a photo in it. This jersey-knit dress is from SheIn although you’d never guess it from its unique cut-out and sexy slit. I’m obsessed with this style and love the way this dress moves as you walk.
I was a little unsure of how to style it but ultimately decided when in doubt, to go for monochrome. These chunky heels have been a recent fav, and of course, the mini orange purse is making its appearance again!
Nothing better than a day spent on the water. We went to Sur Beach House to spend a day in the sun so of course, that meant beach attire. This triangle suit was definitely my favorite from this trip. The smocked detailing added a bit of texture and the mix of colors was perfect.
To play off of the orange in the suit, I tossed on a lightweight button-up. As for the bottom half of me, I stuck with denim shorts from Princess Polly. I snagged these for my trip to Hawaii and have been wearing them nonstop since. They are just the right wash and have minimal distressing which I love.
A few weeks ago I partnered with an amazing small business on YouTube, Kaiso Swim. Their sustainable pieces are incredible quality with such unique cuts. This burnt orange suit screamed Cabo so of course, I had to pack it for this trip! Definitely more of a scandalous suit but perfect if you’re wanting to spring break in style!
A mini crochet dress is a moment for Cabo. I loved this one from Princess Polly as it was the perfect look to transition from dinner to clubbing. The mix of orange and pink is super on-trend too—I pulled both colors out with baby block heels and a mini purse to match! This piece runs short so if you’re on the taller side, I’d recommend skipping out on this altogether.
This casual combo was perfect for breakfast at our resort. Just a simple knit top—this one has a halter neck and backless fit. I’m popping on high-rise denim shorts and a pair of straw sandals to finish off the look. Although basic, this could work for practically any occasion in Cabo. Trust me!
If you’re not a bikini gal, don’t fret! Kaiso Swim has the best one-pieces in the game. This black one has the most unique cut-out across the chest. With a lace-up back and a cheeky bottom, you’ve got the sexiest cut ever. I couldn’t love this more if I tried.
I grabbed this lime green Princess Polly romper for my trip to Hawaii and never had the chance to wear it. I decided Cabo was the perfect place for it to make its debut. The plunging neckline + halter back make a killer combo. If you’re headed out clubbing, this would be the perfect piece to wear.
As for shoes, I’m reaching for my neon green clunkers. These match to a tee and dress the look up in no time.
Chocolate brown is all the rage right now and I’m just loving this suit. It’s got a bit of underwire throughout the top and bottoms with a cut similar to the Aerie Crossover leggings. I’m obsessed!
As I said, crochet anything is a must for your Mexico trip. I’m crushing on this Pepper Mayo combo. The top fits like a triangle swimsuit. It’s definitely skimpy but for Mexico, this is totally the day drinking vibe. I had to grab the shorts to match! You could wear these as is or over top of a swimsuit for more of a cover-up vibe. This color combo is so effortless!
A neon kini is always my go-to for the last day of a trip. I promise this will make your tan pop like nobody’s business! This is one of my favorite swimsuit styles—the ring detail is super flattering + adds a unique touch to the outfit. Of course, I’m slipping into a pair of white beach pants to cover up.
I’ll be keeping these in my closet for many years to come as they are the perfect lightweight option. Don’t forget to air-dry them as they will shrink up if not!
Can’t go wrong with a solid white bikini. This one is from SheIn’s basic collection and I reach for it all the time since it pairs so well with my favorite cover-ups. Speaking of, this long sleeve is also from there and was the cutest piece to toss over my suit. If you’re spending the day on a boat, I highly recommend this duo!
Walking along the marina is a must in the evening. The sunsets are so beautiful in this area… I stopped by for pictures around golden hour in the cutest white maxi dress. This double-lined, linen dress is amazing. If you’re a bride-to-be looking for something to wear for your engagement photos, this would be perfect.
With a slicked ponytail and some fun heels—AGH! Pictures just don’t even do this piece justice.
Sharing one last bikini with you. I have this one in two different colorways as it’s one of my favorites. The top is your typical triangle style and the bottoms fit like your usual hipster underwear. They sit a little bit higher on the hips and are just the right amount of cheeky. This gives you a basic tan line and is a very family-friendly option.
