The last of my spring break travels were spent in San Francisco, California. It was a short and sweet trip with just three full days to explore all of the side streets, amazing food, and even better views.
Typically when I go on these trips I change outfits for every activity to really maximize my photo opportunities + provide you with even more outfit ideas. However, this time around my suitcase was so stuffed that I could only afford one outfit a day. Luckily, San Fran is a really laid-back city so I found that one outfit worked for every occasion.
Today I’m rounding up the outfits and sharing links to everything for you to shop. For reference, I visited in early April and it was much brisker than I expected. Supposedly this overcast, light layers weather is how it is all year round so make sure you’ve got a cardigan, jeans, and your walking shoes packed!

On our first day in San Fran, we did a ton of exploring. We grabbed brunch, popped in and out of some stores, went to a baseball game, and walked over to China Town. To my surprise, jeans and a tee worked for the whole day of adventuring. This cutie little baseball tee paired perfectly with these straight-leg jeans. I found these on Princess Polly and they’ve been my favorite jeans as of late. They’ve got just the right amount of stiffness to them giving them that ~cool girl~ vibe.
I did end up buying a hoodie the first morning as it was much chillier than I expected. Def bring some type of layer at all times as the weather changed so drastically. As for shoes, you’re in for a lot of miles so make sure you’ve got something comfy on. I love my Winston high-tops from Steve Madden. I lasted 8 miles in these and was pleasantly surprised.

The next day we wandered over to Chrissey Field to walk the Golden Gate Bridge + grab some lunch. I didn’t intend on wearing these jeans two days in a row but unfortunately, they were the only pair I packed with me. I knew it would be a bit brisker by the water so I popped them on for the second day in a row with my same high-top sneakers.
Up top, I wore the cutest color-blocked cardigan from Princess Polly. This is the perfect spring layer over top of an Express Body Contour tank. I bring at least one of these on every trip as they are the perfect basic. I loved this outfit however if I were to do it again, I’d reach for a short sleeve instead for just a *little* extra warmth.

On our last day, we popped around Pier 39 and all kinds of side streets. The architecture was truly so beautiful! I kept things rather simple with this combo however, I blended right in with the locals in it. These straight-leg jeans are the perfect color for springtime, easily mixing and matching with all kinds of colors. Sadly, they don’t photograph as well as they look in person.
Up top, I’m going for my usual tank + cardigan combo. I’ve had this cardigan for ages and bring it on almost every trip with me. It has a very relaxed fit that looks good layered over so many different outfits. As for shoes, I’m sticking with sneakers. My Dolce Vita Zinas are the only other shoes I’d ever wear to the city. They are incredibly comfortable for long distances and can be worn without socks which I really love!

I know this was a short and sweet outfit guide compared to usual, however, I still wanted to give you a one-stop-shop full of outfit inspo. I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing so many “on the go” outfits these last few weeks. I’ll be sharing my San Francisco Travel Guide full of restaurant, hotel, and itinerary recommendations on Wednesday.
Then, it’ll be back to regularly programmed content as I don’t have any travels on the calendar. If there’s anywhere in specific you’d like to see me cover, be sure to let me know! I’ve always got the travel bug and would love to take a quick trip somewhere soon.
With love, McKenz
