A few weeks back I polled my Instagram following asking how many of them would be graduating this year and was shocked to see nearly 50%. I myself graduate in December, however, I’ve got all kinds of friends gearing up to walk across the stage in just a few weeks. It’s bittersweet and yet I’m so excited to see where this next chapter takes everyone.
Of course with graduation come all of the festivities—parties, photos, and more. Tons of you have asked for white dress inspo to help get dressed for the big day. I’ve got you covered and am sharing a handful of favorites with you today.
Although I don’t graduate until later this year, the roomies and I are planning on taking our grad photos next week. We won’t be back in Kent (since we’ll spend our last semester in Italy) but we wanted to make a point to grab some photos around campus and our good ole stomping grounds.
I’d been hunting for the perfect dress when I found this strapless bubble style. I instantly fell in love. It’s different yet still timeless with an elegant sheen. Of course, I couldn’t resist these bow-front heels to tie the look together. This is everything I had hoped for in my graduation look!
If I wasn’t wearing that last dress, I’d definitely be wearing this pleated one. I’m a sucker for anything one shoulder and this tiered-ruffle dress is no exception. It’s trendy yet a dress that I know I would love in years to come. As for shoes, I can never say no to a statement.
I’ve had these feathered heels in my closet since New York Fashion Week and wear them every chance I get. They add so much spice to a look—I know I’ll keep these in my closet forever!
There’s nothing better than a little puff sleeve action! I’ve been wearing this style for years now but it’s especially popular this spring. This babydoll style dress has a classic silhouette that photographs so well. If you’re looking for something super family-friendly and perfect for a graduation party I’d definitely recommend this one. Keep things monochrome or add a fun colored heel to spice things up.
If you’re looking to get a graduation dress that you can wear for several different occasions, this is the one for you! This white strapless dress has several layers of fabric to it and the cutest lace detailing. The boho vibe can easily be dressed up with a pair of white heels but I could also picture this dress with a floppy hat and sandals for a post-beach day dinner.
Nothing beats a statement sleeve! This one has the sweetest layered ruffles, adding tons of dimension to an otherwise simple dress. With a classic a-line skirt, this style is bound to flatter every figure. The back has a sweet, open back as well! I popped on a pair of pink mules to make a statement but your school’s colors would look even cuter
Believe me, I’ve been scouring practically every online retailer the last few weeks for white dresses and am doing my best to share new arrivals to Instagram as I find them! Keep an eye out so you don’t miss out.
In the meantime, congratulations to all of the 2022 grads! I can’t wait to see what awesome things come next for ya.
With love, McKenz
