Summer is right around the corner and I’ve already started doing some trend forecasting. I’ve been scouring tons of different sources for my final Fashion Merchandising projects and papers, discovering all kinds of fun trends to wear this summer. Today I’m breaking down a few favorites + styling some pieces already in my wardrobe to give you a little bit of outfit inspiration.
Today’s post is extra special because all of these pieces are from a local Cleveland small business, Knuth’s. I’m so happy I was able to stop in-store at their Pepper Pike location. Although, don’t worry; if you’re not an Ohio gal they do have an online store so I’ve gone ahead and linked as many things as possible for you to shop. Whether you’re looking for a church or travel outfit I’ve got you covered!

There’s something I love so much about a simple cut-off shorts and white tee-shirt combo in the summertime. It’s a never-fail outfit that can easily be dressed up or down. While I’m almost certain that most of you already have these two pieces in your closet, you can spice things up by throwing on a pop of color.
I slipped into bright orange sandals and a couple of accessories to match—an adorable little bucket hat and a fun clutch! This is the cutest outfit for everyday wear.

Nothing beats a simple sundress with straw accessories this time of year. I’ve been stuck on this combo for several seasons now and know I won’t be stopping anytime soon. This striped midi dress is perfect for all of those summer festivities. Whether you’re off to church, a dinner date, or even vacation this would be the perfect piece.
As for shoes, I’m slipping into my all-time favorite heels—the Dolce Vita Paily. I have these braided heels in several different colors and wear them all the time. They are incredibly comfortable and are one of the few pairs I can stand to wear for hours on end. I’m so happy they came out with them in a straw version! Adding a cutie purse to match.
Off to grab dinner and drink with friends? Wanting an outfit that’s not too dressy but not too casual? Start off in a pair of your favorite denim shorts. I love the fit + raw hem of these Pistola ones. Then pop on a nicer top—I love this one-shoulder, puff sleeve piece. It’s nicer than your typical going-out top but still looks casual when styled with a pair of cut-offs.
I’m then popping on a short strappy heel to elongate the legs and give me just a little bit of lift. Pop on a matching purse to tie the look together.
I’ve been seeing crochet pieces everywhere recently and finally got my hands on my first piece. I am a sucker for this handkerchief-style top! This one has so many fun summer colors in it + a halter back. I’m keeping things casual with a pair of cropped flare jeans.
To pull out the brown from this top, I’m reaching for braided sandals and a fun purse in the same color. I love this coordination!

I’ve got tons of summer travels in the works and with that comes a lot of time spent at the airport. For my travel days, I prefer wearing a comfy two-piece set. This way you’re comfortable but still look cute if you’ve got somewhere to be once hopping off the plane!
I always make sure to wear sneakers on my travel days. Something like these are super easy to slip in and out of and are extra comfortable in case you have to sprint to your gate—not that I’m speaking from experience or anything…. These shoes also have a bit of gold metallic along the back so they match my everyday jewels perfectly.
Y’all we’re getting down to the last few blog posts with photos taken here in Kent, Ohio! I can hardly believe that my time here is coming to an end and am so grateful for all of the growth (both personal and in styledby) throughout my time here. I just wanted to give you a heads up as I’ve started choosing pieces to style while interning and living in California. I’m sure there will be a shift in my wardrobe choices but I can hardly wait.
In the meantime, enjoy these last few posts in my good ole stomping grounds! I hope you loved these summer looks; a huge shoutout to Knuth’s for helping me put them together.
With love, McKenz
