Laguna Beach, California is nestled beautifully between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Apart of Orange County, it is full of some of the most breathtaking views in the United States. I visited for the first time in April and have had a hard time staying away— returning again in May to celebrate my 21st birthday and again this month for a mini weekend getaway.
I totally forgot to share an outfit guide when we visited in May so I’m combining the looks from my last two trips for you today. As per usual I’m sharing links to everything so you can shop and am sharing photo locations with directions to each spot so you can recreate these pictures on your next visit!
If you’re not in California, don’t worry—these looks could work for just about any beach trip you may be taking this summer. Enjoy!

When we visited in May we went to the most amazing oceanside dinner to celebrate my 21st birthday. I wore this amazing green dress. Nothing will make you feel prettier after a beach day than this halter neckline and open back. I was totally having my Aquamarine moment in this!
Of course, I slipped into my got-to straw shoes. I’ve been wearing these from Dolce Vita for years now. The baby heel helps elevate the outfit but the raffia texture keeps things beachy. I’m adding my favorite straw purse to match! I couldn’t love this more.

I sure do love a good beach day! I spend almost all of my days here sitting in a Tommy Bahama chair reading a book + dipping in the ocean when I get hot. Kotomi Swim is one of my favorite small swimwear businesses. They have the cutest suits + are sustainably made, making me love them even more. This bikini fits me like a glove—bustier cups that provide lots of support and cheeky bottoms to give the tush a little lift. Big fan!

I love a twinnie moment… I grabbed these linen dresses from Zaful so that Jules and I could match one morning. She added pops of pink while I went for simple straw pieces to keep things casual. This is the perfect eating-out look for this town!

When driving through downtown Laguna you’ll stumble across so many gorgeous ocean lookouts. We spent one morning walking past several of them, snapping some adorable photos along the way. It’s hard to believe there are views this pretty. I wore a simple white dress and it was perfect! You can’t go wrong with lightweight linen during the summertime.

Can’t have a beach day without a cute kini. This pink floral suit is one of my favorites. This underwire style gives you all the support + these bottoms are just the right amount of cheeky. No beach day of mine is complete without my favorite floppy hat. I got this five years ago from TJ Maxx and still wear it nonstop.

Jules and I had a fun little beachside picnic before we went out for the night—complete with wine, cheese, and crackers. Of course, I intended on snapping a few photos while we ate. A white linen set is always the right idea when it comes to beach photos. I recommend a midi skirt so you don’t expose too much while sitting in the sand. This one was perfect!

I always dreamed of a life where I wore a different bathing suit every day. Southern California is truly turning me into a beach bum. Today’s suit was an adorable bustier-cup kini from Cupshe. I’m wearing an XS in this one and it couldn’t have fit me better. It’s got a snug fit up top with bustier cups and underwire that gives you alll the support.
The bottoms sit high up on the hips, elongating the legs in no time If you need something family-friendly, Cupshe is where it’s at!

Evening wear is super casual here in the OC. It gets rather chilly in the evening so I recommended light layers, reaching for something to cover at least half of you. This time, I went for a pair of white, straight-leg jeans from Express. I love the way these look cuffed with flat shoes. When I’m not wearing the raffia heels, you can find me in the flat version. I wear these all the time and get so many compliments on them!
Up top, I’m wearing the cutest pale green tank you’ve ever seen. Love the ribbon straps.

Another day another swimmie! String bikinis are some of my favorites. A triangle top perfectly caters to every chest size while solid bottoms stay in place while swimming. Not only does this style give me my favorite kind of tan line but it’s super practical for a full beach day too!

I highly recommend packing a lightweight, linen button-up for your trip to Laguna. Not only do these make the perfect layering piece over top of a swimsuit, but they can also be worn buttoned up with a pair of shorts for your morning coffee run.
When headed into town you can almost always spot me in this unform: tossing on my favorite Princess Polly shorts + Rainbow flip-flops. Not the cutest outfit in the world, but if I’m being honest, I wear this combo more than anything during my beach days.
