Weekly Wrap Up #25 2022

When I was in high school I’d measure how good a day was by how dirty the bottoms of my feet were. If they needed an extra scrub in the shower, I’d know that my day was full—running around like a kid, laughing till my stomach hurt. This week, here in California, my feet were dirtier than they’ve ever been before.

I spent a few days in my favorite part of California, soaking up the sun, swimming until my fingers pruned over. My sweet new roomie finally settled in and we spent much of the week together, getting to know one another. I also got to see my high school best friend Ethan—what was supposed to be just one day turned into four.

It’s safe to say my cup is full. In fact, lately, it feels like it’s overflowing. I couldn’t be happier.

Sunday, June 19

Jules and I just love Laguna Beach—we had the chance to work with one of our favorite hotels, the Laguna Beach Lodge, so of course, we gladly hopped in the car for a 48-hour trip. We spent the entire day soaking up the sun, playing mermaids, and reading my new book. After a full beach day, we showered, got ready, and headed back down to the water for a sunset picnic. We had dinner and drinks at the chicest new spot—Cincin Parlor and went out afterward. Today was a ten.

Monday, June 20

My best friend from home was in town this week so he met up with Jules and me for a beach day! I cannot tell you how good it felt to have a piece of home here in California with me. We walked through the gorgeous lagoons, played colors in the ocean, and swam for hours. After a full 9-5 beach day we went over to Stella’s Serious Italian for an incredible dinner. Then driving home to spend some time with my new roomie!

Tuesday, June 21

My new roommate was dying to see Laguna and with Ethan still in town with free time to spare, we drove our booties right back down. We shot some photos along the beach and then spent the afternoon exploring the Newport area. They took me to In & Out for the first time too! I thought it was good but underwhelming if I’m being honest.

Wednesday, June 22

Having a work-from-home day getting blog posts written and YouTube videos edited. Ashlee and I walked over to the mall to find an outfit for tonight’s event. We got invited to the Tezza’s 4th birthday bash. It was at an adorable roller skating rink—decked out with disco balls, merch, and good vibes. It was a surreal night getting to meet my all-time favorite content creator.

Thursday, June 23

Ethan’s flight got canceled which means we got two extra days together. I picked him up from the airport and drive right down to Hermosa Beach. I ate some acai, walked the entire pier, and worked a few hours before spending the afternoon lazing on the beach. We grabbed dinner at American Junkie (10/10) before going home to shower and get ready for a night out. We had a blast.

Friday, June 24

Packed up and headed back to Hermosa as I had another full day of work. Ethan hit the beach for most of the day and I joined him after, taking my afternoon nap under the sun. I feel so grateful to be so close to the water. We made dinner and spent the evening relaxing before saying goodbye. Sad tears tonight 😭

Saturday, June 25

Spending my Saturday finally falling back into a routine. I filmed some sponsored content, got working on a few blog posts, and finally went grocery shopping. The roomies and I went over to our favorite outlook for sunset. It’s been a full week, to say the least.
