Weekly Wrap Up #43 2022

I think this week might have been one of my favorites of the semester. I know that being uncomfortable is a part of the growth experience but man does it feel good to finally feel comfortable and in a routine here. I had so many moments this week where I couldn’t help but stop and think “man, this is what I was so worried about?”. In my element and doing it (mostly) with ease.

Eating good, laughing lots, and making a lifetime of memories. We went to Lucerne, Switzerland this weekend and it was incredible. I can’t wait to share the travel + outfit guides with you later this week. Stay tuned!

Monday, October 24

Getting back into the swing of things with a busy school week ahead. Working on a few different school assignments today + prepping for some upcoming tests. I typically spend Mondays editing and writing my week in my life’s. Today was no different. Liv cooked us a family dinner and we went and grabbed gelato at our favorite spot afterward!

Tuesday, October 25

Tuesdays are my easier school days with just two classes. I spent my lunch break filming YouTube videos and catching up on some Tik Toks. Then in the evening I had a fun dinner at Osteria Pratellino, a traditional Tuscan restaurant. This adorable family-owned restaurant gave us five courses of the most amazing dishes. We spent all night learning about Tuscan cuisine and talking with the owner—it was such a special experience!

Wednesday, October 26

A busy, busy day of school with three classes and a jam-packed lunch break getting videos edited and blog posts written. But boy does it feel good to get it all done! Grabbing gelato with Liv and then heading out to Lions for a fun night out.

Thursday, October 27

Nothing beats a day of “school” at the Gucci Garden Museum. I’m so grateful for a major that has so many fun field trips and so much creative learning. I loved getting to walk through these gorgeous rooms—definitely a cool activity if you have a free hour to spare in Florence. Packed my suitcase and headed to the train station—off to Switzerland we go!

Friday, October 28

I think today might have been my favorite day of studying abroad. Woke up to the most amazing view and enjoyed a huge breakfast. The girls and I snapped lots of photos in front of the gorgeous scenery then got dressed and headed into town for the day. We spent hours shopping around, ate the most amazing lunch on the water, and tried all the swiss chocolate.

Finished off the day with the most gorgeous golden hour on our rooftop and an incredible dinner. So much fun and am so grateful to be sharing these moments with my best friends.

Saturday, October 29

We were supposed to be paragliding today but it was too windy so we ended up riding a cable car up Mount Palais instead. We saw the most incredible views—truly one of the prettiest countries we’ve been to. We took tons of photos, walked around town a bit, and grabbed more chocolate before hopping on a bus for a long ride back home.

Sunday, October 30

Back in Florence on a Sunday which rarely happens—I took advantage and went to church for the first time this morning. The Church of Santi Apostoli has an English service at 10:30 am and I was so happy I was able to make it. The priest was amazing and I enjoyed a long walk home stopping in and out of little shops along the way.

I spent the rest of my day having a true “Sunday reset”. Grocery shopping, doing laundry, unpacking, and getting some Styledby work done. Ready for another busy week in Florence!
