Here we go… one of my favorite blog posts of the year! Nothing is more fun (or special) than taking this trip down memory lane. With over 150 blog posts published this year, there were hundreds upon hundreds of outfits to choose from. It’s been especially fun watching my style evolve this year as I traveled to so many new places. After many hours I’ve somehow narrowed down my 22 favorites of 2022. Enjoy!
In 2021 I fell in love with statement boots and that love quickly rolled over into the new year. These floral go-go boots were a hit during my first California trip of 2022. With a matching olive green dress, this was an iconic outfit to kick-start the year in. I’d rewear this look over and over again if I could.

Another pair of statement boots… I felt like the cutest little Polly Poket in these orange platforms and matching micro purse. I can’t say I’ll miss this impractical purse trend but I sure did love the way they dressed up any outfit. This white puff-sleeve dress was another favorite in my closet. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I wore it this year…

It’s ironic that 3/22 of these outfits are all from the same week in LA. I swear there’s just something in the air there that gets my creative styling juices flowing. I rocked so many funky looks there this year, truly stepping out of my comfort zone like never before. These rhinestone, floral embellished tights caused quite a controversy when I posted them.
They definitely look like an arts and craft but they were so unique that I just couldn’t resist them. Probably the most “out there” outfit I wore this year but still one of my favs!

Despite popular belief, I did spend an entire semester living in Kent, Ohio dealing with a brutally cold winter. Although this outfit may not seem like anything special, it’s what I spent most of my days wearing to class. This neutral scarf and these matching Steve Madden Hutch boots ended up being two of my most worn pieces of 2022. I brought both with me to Europe and cannot even begin to tell you how many times I styled them together. A must if you’re looking to build a capsule wardrobe.
With a sweater and jeans, they just never fail. Speaking of, this year was all about straight-leg jeans. I don’t think I wore another style once!

One of my most iconic looks (and pictures) of 2022 was this white bikini and gigantic orange floppy hat in Cabo, Mexico during my spring break. Everyone thought I was crazy for buying this hat but it sure did make the most amazing photos. 100% not practical but surely the perfect prop.

This was another big year for sweatsuits in my closet. I found myself reaching for them time and time again as I worked from home and during my travel days. By far my favorite of them all was this pastel green one from Princess Polly that reads “Take It Easy”. So cute and so cozy. This is a trend I truly hope will stick around a little while longer!

There’s something about a little denim romper that I’ve just always loved so much. I landed a huge brand deal with Altard State in April and had so much fun shooting photos for them. While I’m certainly no roller skater, I knew these would be the perfect photo prop. If only you could’ve seen me trying to take these photos alone with my tripod on the side of a Dollar Store building. Truly a sight to see, LOL.
I may be biased, but I totally think the lollipop pulls this outfit together. 😉

On my 21st birthday, I went over to Rodeo Drive to purchase my first designer bag from Louis Vuitton. I wore this adorable wide-leg jumpsuit and scored dozens of compliments. It really was so flattering from the little bit of underboob to the drop-waist crotch. I’d wear this outfit again and again if I could!
I also had on these tall platform heels from Steve Madden. I got sent these early into the year and ended up wearing them a gazillion times throughout 2022. They were surprisingly very comfortable and always made my legs look miles long.
Maybe it’s this picture and not the swimsuit but I’ll just never get over this look… I mean come on, I don’t think I’ll ever look better than this in my life.
During my summer in California, I got to live out my lifelong dreams of wearing a different bathing suit every. single. day. This navy Cupshe one happened to be one of my favorites. Nothing beats a good underwire top; I ended up reaching for this style the most as the weeks went on.

Part two of my 21st birthday celebration continued in Laguna Beach. I had been saving this dress for a special occasion and decided my birthday dinner was the perfect reason to pull it out. I felt like Aquamarine in this—such a flattering neckline and color. I ended up wearing this shade of green for months on end.
This Banana Republic tote was my straw bag of choice this year because it was big enough to fit my laptop! It has the cutest tortoise handles and a long strap so it can also be worn over the shoulder.

A basic outfit but full of closet essentials that I reached for over and over again this year. 1) Express Body Contour Basics– literally the best basics for a capsule wardrobe. Double-lined, thick enough to wear without a bra, and so easy to transition from season to season. 2) Linen Button-Up- I have this specific button-up in several colors and I wore it literally every day this summer over tanks, dresses, and swimsuits. Perfect coverup and the perfect lightweight layer by the beach.
3) Express Straight Leg Jeans- I have dozens of pairs from here but these were def #1 of 2022. The only pair of blue jeans I brought to Europe, so that says a lot! 4) Platform Converse- I’ve got high tops and low tops, five pairs total. Truly some of the most comfortable + versatile shoes for everyday wear!

There’s something about this silky two-piece set that I just loved. It was truly the perfect outfit for a scorching hot day in Italy. I didn’t plan on wearing this silk scarf but my hair was so greasy that I had no choice; ironically it’s the reason I love this outfit so much. On my feet, I’m wearing my iconic gold lace-up sandals that I’ve had for almost five years now. I wore them thin during my study abroad but they are still going strong!

There was something about this little white linen dress that I just adored. It was the perfect piece for my first day trip in Italy. Pieces that were easy to throw a bathing suit underneath of quickly became my go-to! This straw tote from H&M was another fav- I used it as a beach bag all study abroad long.

I’m not usually a fan of bodycon pieces but this Pepper Mayo dress was so flattering it was hard not to love it. I was obsessed with its sweetheart neckline! It’s funny because I actually didn’t mean to wear these boots with this dress- just forgot the shoes I intended on wearing and yet the shoes are what make this outfit.

This green linen set scored me all kinds of compliments in Morocco! I wore this camel riding and everything about it looked incredible. Such a flattering set and one of those “out there” outfits that actually ended up being practical for the days’ itinerary.

This Oh Polly two-piece set was hands down a favorite. I mean come on, it doesn’t get much more Mama Mia than a little blue matching set along the streets of Mykonos! I never thought I’d be wearing a low-rise mini-skirt again but hey, never say never.
Bonus points for my new gold lace-up sandals perfectly completing this outfit. I got these handmade when I was in Positano to replace my Express ones and they fit my foot beautifully. They are real leather so they took a while to break in but once I did they were perfect.

When I was in Mykonos I went into a small boutique with Jules and walked out wearing this handmade dress. I couldn’t resist the royal blue shells along the front and the “Mykonos” stitched along the side. Truly a one of a kind piece. With my gold lace-ups I felt like a literal greek goddess in this. Still obsessed.

In my top 3 favorite looks of 2022 was this light pink off-the-shoulder dress from Beginning Boutique. It was so flattering on my petite figure and the perfect “spinning” dress. Lots of crinoline throughout the skirt so it kept its shape so effortlessly.
I paired this with the most beautiful handmade crochet tote that I bought during a trip to Venice, Italy. It was more euros than I’d like to admit but it was one of my most fun purchases of 2022. I’ve never gotten so many compliments on something in my life!

This isn’t an exceptional outfit by any means but I felt it deserved an honorable mention. I have this Glowmode workout romper in five colors and wore them all summer long. Such a good dupe for the Aritzia one- lifting your boobs, sculpting your butt, and synching the waist. Truly the most flattering piece! Special shout-out for my Lululemon belt bags- I have these in multiple colors as well and they’ve been such lifesavers this year. The perfect item for my constant travels.

I’ve never gotten so much love on an outfit before… this tights, boots, and skirt combo from Rome was such a hit! I wore this fitted turtleneck and cable knit sweater vest a ton during my study abroad semester—they truly never failed. Oh, and these boots were the best. I found myself walking 10+ miles in them for days on end without hurting my feet!
This boat neck sweater was a go-to for me! I wore it in so many countries throughout my time abroad because it was the perfect weight. Not too thick and not too thin! I loved wearing sweaters with little mini skirts and boots. These are the Steve Madden Hutch that I mentioned earlier. So comfortable and truly a must for long days of walking in the city!
from What to Wear in Milan, Italy This Fall
Such a fan of these Amazon bodysuits! They are the best Skims dupes on the market. I loved wearing them on their own and underneath sweaters during cold weather trips for an added layer. This scarf + these knee-high boots quickly became one of my go-to combinations. These boots look so sleek with dresses and skirts and are so thin that they were extremely easy to pack away for weekend trips! I have them in two colors now.

It’s certainly been a year full of good fashion and even better travels. So grateful to have been able to share all of these moments with you. I can’t wait to see how my style continues to evolve in 2023…
In the meantime, do yourself a favor and have a laugh with me as I look back at my top outfits from the last six years!(!!!)
