Of all the places I’ve been in the world I truly don’t think I’ve ever been somewhere as beautiful as San Luis Obispo, California. I mean this area has everything—huge mountains, a quaint downtown, and beautiful beaches. I’ve never seen anything quite like it! This trip was a bit different than my typical travels—I spent four incredible days exploring SLO with my influencer management agency, Lola & Ivy!
Each year they host a company trip where all of the talent managers and content creators can get together. We had brand-sponsored events, tons of networking opportunities, and so much fun. Lola & Ivy came up with themed color palettes for each event so that we would all coordinate—that being said these outfits are a little different than what I would have packed if I were just here exploring. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy seeing what I wore on my trip to SLO!
Upon arrival to SLO, our agency threw a huge welcome party on our hotel’s rooftop! The theme was PINK so everyone was all decked out. I’ve had this pink dress tucked away in the back of my closet for quite some time now and this seemed like the perfect occasion to pull it out. It’s made of a silky fabric that has a beautiful shapeless drape to it!
I’m obsessed with the high neckline and huge bell sleeves. If you know me you know I’ve always been a fan of lace-up shoes. I just got this adorable pair from Dolce Vita and am obsessed with how effortless these look. They’ve got about a one-inch heel so they are the perfect in-between of a sandal and a heel. I ended up wearing them all weekend long!

San Luis Obispo is known for having the richest soil in the United States and is where most of our wine is made! Of course, we had a day full of winery visits. Because you’re up in the mountains, it gets quite breezy at most of them so I suggest layering up. I started off in a long sleeve, added a turtleneck sweater, and then topped it off with a denim jacket!
I was going for the “Pinterest girl” aesthetic and paired my sweater with an adorable silk dress. Yes, you read that right! I didn’t have a maxi skirt so I just wore this dress and made it work. It’s actually one of my go-to wedding guest looks haha. On my feet, I’ve slipped into a pair of pointed-toe booties from Dolce Vita.
No winery visit is quite right without a cute felt hat. This one from Lack of Colors is a long-time favorite.

We had an incredible brunch hosted by The Siss Kiss. The theme for this was “garden party” so this floral maxi dress seemed like the perfect fit. This is from a small Los Angeles-based business called Saltwater Luxe. I’m obsessed with her timeless, elegant pieces. This dress had adorable grommets along the bodice, making this neckline so flattering.

We got all dolled up in neutrals for a fun luncheon at an adorable brewery downtown. This event was hosted by Like To Know It hence all the branded decor—talk about an incredible networking opportunity! This little two-piece set was perfect for a spring day downtown. I love the open-back detail and bell sleeves. So flattering and so fun.
These pants have an elastic waistband so they were super stretchy. However, they ran a little long on my petite frame so a pair of little block heels was the perfect way to give these some lift.

The best way to kick start a California morning is with a hot girl walk along the water. I’ve been loving all of my Glowmode activewear lately! Of course, I had to grab a matching set. Wearing their classic leggings and a fun criss-cross sports bra. Their material is buttery soft and reminds me so much of my Lululemon Aligns.
It was super brisk out in the morning so I also had a white long-sleeve layered over top—it’s not pictured here but I will leave it linked. Oh, and of course, I had to dip my toes into the (freezing cold) water! 😉

The evenings get quite chilly here in San Luis Obispo. We had an amazing sunset boat cruise full of yummy appetizers, an open bar, and beautiful scenery. We were told to bundle up so that I did!
I still wanted to keep things semi-springy so I opted for this adorable rainbow sweater. To keep warm I layered a solid white long-sleeve underneath and tossed on a pink scarf to match. So cute and cozy! I didn’t end up getting a full-body picture but I wore wide-leg jeans from Mango and a cute pair of neutral boots that I’ll leave linked.

After just a few days in San Luis Obispo, I can easily say that this is one of my favorite areas in California. I have no doubt that I will be back sometime soon. Fingers crossed it’ll be at some point during the summer so we can enjoy some sunshine and beach days. In the meantime, I’ll be daydreaming over those gorgeous views! Until then…
With love, McKenz
