My spring road trip is officially underway with our first stop in Savannah, Georgia. This beautiful city is packed full of spooky history, an electric student body, and that classic southern charm I can’t seem to get enough of. You’ll be dressing for trolley tours, boutique shopping, slow comfort meals, and beach days on Tybee Island.
Today I’m sitting down to share all nine outfits I wore during my trip to Savannah complete with links to build your own wardrobe and directions to each photo location. I want to note that I visited in mid-May, with temperatures hovering in the mid-eighties and the sun scorching hot. Come prepared for that southern heat with lightweight linens and lots of mini dresses.
That southern heat is no joke baby! Easy breezy babydoll dresses are going to be your best friend for those long, hot days in Savannah. I scored this adorable baby doll dress from Urban Outfitters. It has tiered ruffles, a lace-up back, and pockets! What more could a girl ask for, right?!
If your hair is anything like mine and just can’t stand the southern humidity I suggest packing a hat (or two!). I wore this straw one from Lulus almost every day, which seriously saved me! Of course, I have a purse and sandals to match. These Franco Sarto slides are my go-to–I have them in four colors now and cannot stop wearing them on my travel days! So comfy yet so cute.

I got a glimpse of a European Summer at The Paris Market. This adorable coffee shop is half store half French-inspired cafe. Definitely a must-hit spot—plus, it’s in the midst of all the best shopping and boutiques. A little sun-dress was perfect for our morning stroll. This pink mini dress is from a brand called Araminta James, a small California-based brand I discovered a few months back!
I’ve been trying hard to highlight more sustainable, high-quality pieces across my pages and this is definitely a fav. I love that it has pockets too! Tossing on that same straw hat and giving myself a little bit of height with these Marc Fisher platforms. How cute are they?!

Loving all the southern vibes here in Savannah! I wore this adorable gingham corset top and cut-off shorts for a fun night out! I couldn’t resist breaking out the tall white cowboy boots for the occasion. These always score me tons of compliments. The perfect look for bar hopping or walking around like a local.

Another lightweight dress because come on… it doesn’t get any easier than that. This was another Urban Outfitters find that I just couldn’t love more. This dress has a lower cut but the huge puff sleeves give it that southern charm. It has a full skirt that’s perfect for twirling and pockets which you know I love.
These little Dolce Vita shoes have quickly become a summer essential. They have a 1.5-inch heel that give me a little bit of height without killing my feet. Plus, I love that these lace up– def helps elongate the legs!

I was a little unsure how I felt about the denim maxi skirt trend… even as I was placing my most recent Boohoo order, I still wasn’t sure I’d like this white skirt. It’s turning out to be one of the most worn pieces in my closet! I love the fit of this—a low-rise skirt that loosely lays across the hips. It’s rather shapeless throughout and hits just at the ankles.
I know low rise can seem intimidating but paired with a longer cropped tank, you’ve instantly elongated your torso. To complete this cool girl look I’m throwing on a simple pair of sandals, a cute bag, and a few layered necklaces. I wore this in 3/5 of our spring road trip destinations and loved it more with each wear. Truly a bad a$$ combo!

If you’re in Savannah for several days, I highly suggest driving over to Tybee Island. This cute little beach town is about twenty minutes away from the city. It’s full of tacky tourist shops, ice cream windows, and beach views. It’s no Florida water by any means but it’s a great spot to visit if you’re craving some sunshine and sand!
I knew we’d make our way over here one afternoon so I made sure to pack a swimsuit! This adorable blue bikini is from SheIn. It had orange straps that I made sure to match my purse and hat to. So fun, right?!

After our beach day, we changed into sundresses and headed over to dinner. This green dress was a recent Abercrombie find! The quality of this piece is unmatched—it’s lightweight linen that’s double-lined throughout and super soft. As you can see, this dress runs on the larger side. I got this in an XS and regretted not sizing down to an XXS for a more flattering fit throughout the torso.
Of course, raffia accessories are a must by the beach. I can’t stop wearing this combo!

Another place I find so many favorite vacation outfits is Petal & Pup. Their pieces are super southern with tons of bright colors, puff sleeves, and timeless silhouettes. I got this adorable jumpsuit from them and knew it’d be the perfect piece for this trip. This jumpsuit is made of a jersey fabric that’s super soft and stretchy. This would be super cozy for your travel day—throw on platforms and a hat and you’ll be all ready to drop your bags and get exploring upon arrival!

There’s nothing I love more than a little seer sucker moment. This print mixed with the light pink hue and dainty, ruffle straps… I mean come on! This outfit screams southern charm in all the best ways.
I had two different pairs of espadrilles with me on this trip—the Marc Fishers wrap around the ankle so they look great with mini/maxi dresses but when I’m wearing a midi I like wearing these slip-on mules from Dolce Vita. However, I don’t recommend if you’ll be walking around The River Walk. It’s super uneven down this way so flat shoes are a must when exploring. Just keep that in mind if you’re not used to being in taller shoes!

Savannah street style was some of my favorite! Nothing makes me happier than getting to pull out all of my favorite frilly dresses and big, fun hats.
We packed so much into our five-day stay. If you’re traveling to the area soon and looking for restaurant recommendations, places to stay, and a list of things to do—stay tuned! My full travel guide for Savannah, Georgia will be here Wednesday. Can’t wait to share more from this trip.
