There’s really nothing better than a trip to Music City! Nashville, Tennessee is one of my favorite cities and it’s my post from my 2021 trip that really kickstarted my love for traveling to new cities to share outfit ideas. I just got back from a week of fun celebrating my 22nd birthday with my very best friends!
As promised, today I’m sitting down and spilling the details on all twelve outfits I wore during my trip to Nashville complete with links to build your own wardrobe and directions to each photo location. Nashville is known for its iconic street art and beautiful murals so I made sure to hit up some of the most popular in town!
For reference, we visited Memorial Day weekend and had the best weather. Partly sunny and mid-seventies aka the perfect temperature for rooftop bars and live music! I call seventy-five the universal weather, aka you’ll be comfortable in just about any attire your heart desires.

Show-stopping in this incredible denim two-piece set I found on Pretty Little Thing’s website just weeks before our trip to Nashville. Although this was without a doubt the most iconic outfit I wore on this trip, it was definitely the least functional. This amazing denim set is held together by silver bedazzled straps. The bottoms are caged along the sides for a sexy yet revealing touch.
You’ll receive a lot of looks in this bad boy—don’t say I didn’t warn you, lol.

Not sure what to wear during the daytime in Nashville? This denim jumpsuit from Pretty Little Thing ended up being the perfect piece for a day of exploring 12 South. You could totally wear this with a pair of sandals or sneakers but I wanted to break out the cowboy boots early!
These white ones are from Dolce Vita and stayed glued to my feet pretty much all weekend long. They took a few days to break in but once I did, they were comfortable even after hours. They run a bit narrow in the toe box so I suggest going up a half size.
Pulling this outfit together with a chunky belt. This huge white one is the perfect piece to accentuate the waist. If you’re looking for this adorable photo spot—it’s Amelia’s flower truck in 12 South.

One of my favorite looks of the trip was this combination right here. I bought this top thinking it was a jacket and it turned out to be a lightweight chambray top. You could easily wear this open with a crop top underneath but I decided to take things a different way and keep this buttoned up as a super cropped shirt.
I’ve been loving the lowrise trend so I paired this micro corduroy skirt with this. Definitely very mini but wow does this elongate the legs like crazy! With knee-high boots, you’ll give yourself a little bit of height in no time.

One of my favorite murals in town is this Nashville Looks Good On You one. It’s tucked behind a boutique so not too many people know where to find it. I’m leaving you directions though so you can grab an iconic Instagram photo. When in doubt, denim is always the answer for Nashville. This strapless mini dress is perfect for a day of bar hopping downtown. Belt it above the waist to give yourself some shape and throw on your favorite boots and you’re good to go!

Drinking on Broadway can easily turn from day to night. I suggest wearing something that you’re comfortable wearing all day long. For me, this denim romper was a no-brainer. It’s a softer denim and a lot less structured than some of the other pieces I packed, allowing me to dance comfortably allll night long.
This romper was a little big on me so I belted it at the waist with that same white buckle belt. I’m like a broken record at this point with the same boots and hat to go with!

Coastal met cowgirl in this adorable number. This outfit of the day check went super viral on Tik Tok so unfortunately my romper is sold out by the time I’m uploading this post but I’m linking it anyways so you can request a restock! Regardless, I loved this outfit. It looks like a flowy dress but has shorts underneath so it’s fully functional for a day on the go.
I switched things up this time and added brown boots also from Dolce Vita. In all honesty, these are far more comfortable than the white ones. They are suede rather than leather (so much easier to break in)! I’m completing this outfit with my favorite Lack of Colors hat. I’ve had this for years and get stopped over it every time I wear it

Bar hopping on Broadway is a must during your trip to Nashville. When in doubt, break out the denim on denim. A Canadian tuxedo is a classic for a reason! This strapless top buttons up the front giving you just a little bit of cleavage. I mixed denim hues with a pair of dark wash cut-offs. These are from Abercrombie and are hands down my most flattering shorts. Plus, they aren’t super restricting so I was able to dance my a$$ off for hours on end.

A mellow morning of shopping, candle making, and brunch was spent in this casual outfit! So many have asked about this iconic denim skort—it’s from Free People and one of my favorite pieces in my closet as of late. Super flattering and so easy to style!
I kept things simple with a white SKIMS dupe bodysuit tucked into it. When in Nash, complete this outfit with cowboy boots and a cute hat. For any other occasion, I’d swap put scrappy sandals and a big straw bag for a coastal vibe!

You’re sure to look like a tourist in this outfit but if there’s anywhere to break out the fringe, it’s Broadway! No matter what time of year you visit, you’ll see a gazillion tourists decided out in something similar so you’ll fit right in. Plus, there’s nothing more fun to wear for a night full of dancing downtown.
This dress was another Pretty Little Thing find—they had so many good options for Nashville outfits.

I highly suggest spending a day in Hillsboro Village popping in and out of the cute boutiques and grabbing a bite to eat. This area is the college town of Belmont and Vanderbilt and so worth checking out, especially if you need some rest & recovery time before another rowdy night out.
In the midst of it all is the iconic drippy lips mural! I kept things really casual this day with just a simple pair of overalls from Rollas. I threw on my favorite baby tee underneath—this is from American Eagle and an $11 essential in my closet.

I know, I know, location repeat this time around but I had to showcase this denim jumpsuit from Vici. I wore this one afternoon and then my twin sister wore it the next day for all of our birthday fun! Our Tik Tok together went super viral and tons of people have been messaging me asking where this was from so this needed its own moment.
I’m on the petite side, coming in at just 5’2″, so it runs a little long in the torso. I gave it a little height with heeled cowgirl boots and tied that color back in with my favorite Urban Outfitters cowgirl hat.

If you follow @thesaltyblonde on Instagram then this outfit should remind you of that absolute icon. I’ve had my eye on these Show Me Your Mumu overalls for ages now and finally pulled the trigger for this trip. I *sadly* didn’t have the chance to wear them out but I did grab an iconic photo in them on our last day.
Such a fun look if you’re wanting to embrace the Western vibe without sticking out like a total tourist. Nashville locals are known for having a unique, almost vintage esq style so this look feels very on brand! In love.

Nothing I love more than an excuse to break out my cowgirl boots. I loved getting to style my most recent pairs + rock some of my favorite denim looks last week. I can’t seem to stay away from Music City so I know I’ll be back with more Nashville outfit ideas sometime soon.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for even more outfit inspo I suggest checking out my posts from my last two trips: 12 outfits here and 10 more here. Enjoy + have so much fun in honky tonk town!
