I’ve been sharing going-out outfits on my page for years now. However six months out of college and I can safely say that my preferred outfit for a night out has changed. I’ve graduated from strappy black bodysuits and dirty white frat shoes and moved on to cutesy tops and baby heels. These small changes have made me feel a little more sophisticated at the bars + a lot more confident in myself.
Today I’m sharing eight going-out outfit ideas complete with links to shop. I’ve tried to include a variety of options as I know each going-out scene is a little different. I love a casual flip-flops beach bar but rooftop cocktails are also becoming one of my favorite weekend activities. I hope this post gives you a little bit of outfit inspiration. Enjoy!

How adorable is this white eyelet lace corset top from Whitefox Boutique?! I’m obsessed with the fit of this. Paired with basic straight-leg jeans this is perfect for dinner and drinks with your girlfriends. Both are from Whitefox Boutique—use my code MCKENZIE for 15% off.
One of the easiest ways to take your outfit from college to post-grad is to ditch your grubby frat sneakers and slip into a basic block heel. They don’t have to be the highest heel in the world, even two inches will give your outfit a chic, sophisticated feel. Don’t forget to grab a cute purse.

Oh, how I love a good yellow top. This lace cami was just calling my name—such a flattering hue for the summertime. Now’s the time for your white jeans to shine. This pair is from Calvin Klein and they are hands down my most worn “going out” jeans. These are low-rise, hanging effortlessly along the hips. I’ve cuffed them once and am throwing on a white shoe to tie this look together.
Nothing feels quite like summer more than a floral top. This adorable corset has a keyhole neckline that gives you just a little bit of cleavage. This was another Whitefox top—I find their stuff runs tiny so I always size up to a small (one up from my usual size) so I have a little extra wiggle room.
If you’re headed from dinner to drinks I suggest a pair of non-ripped jeans to make things feel a bit elevated. Pulling out the pops of color with matching pink heels from Lulus! These are some of my comfiest shoes.

Nothing’s easier than reaching for a white tank and denim shorts. I get all of my favorite going-out tops from Whitefox—this one is super soft, double-lined cotton so no bra needed. As for shorts, these are the 90s Boyfriend from Abercrombie. These run true to size and pair well with everything.
Keeping comfy with my shoes today and reaching for these Franco Sarto sandals. I have these in three colors and wore them nonstop when I was bar hopping in Florida. It’s so casual there so sandals always worked!

How cute is this top?! I have the dress version of this and love it so much that I had to get the top too! I love everything about this—the floral straps, bustier cups, and corset details. This is such a flattering piece, I’m obsessed. Going for my tried and true—straight-leg jeans and pops of raffia to match.

Concert season is here! I recently wore this combo to Barefoot Country Music Fest and scored a gazillion compliments on this look. I tend to pull out the crochet pieces for evening events, especially if it’s going to be a little cooler. This is actually a part of a set but I saved the matching skirt for another occasion.
I slipped into denim cut-offs and a good ole pair of cowboy boots. I wear this Dolce Vita pair out all the time. They are so comfy and elongate the legs in no time!

These tie-front tops are my absolute favorite these days. I have a gazillion styles from Revolve, American Eagle, and Amazon. This one was another Whitefox find. It has a matching skirt but again, I’m choosing to split the pieces up and wear this with a casual pair of jeans instead. If I’m wanting a cuffed pair instead I’ll reach for these Calvin Klein ones!
I wanted to give this straw purse a special shoutout. I got this in February and wear it all the time when going out. You can wear this on the crook of your arm or as a crossbody thanks to the long gold chain. It’s a spacious bucket style that fits all the essentials! It’s currently out of stock but I’m leaving the link anyways so you can sign up for restocks.

This outfit is a little more casual, Perfect for dinner out with the fam when you *think* one drink could lead to another. This happened to me all the time when I was living in Saint Petersburg, Florida and I was always glad to be dressed in something cute, yet casual & comfy.
Size up in this blue gingham tank! Srtraw shoes and a matching bag will give your outfit a more casual vibe for the beach bars.
Now that we’ve covered the outfits, who wants to hit happy hour?! Hehe, kidding but I so wished I could meet up with all of you internet friends for a drink sometime. In the meantime, I’ll be living vicariously through your wild nights out. I’ll share more outfit ideas for the going-out scene once temperatures cool down a bit. Catch ya then!
