It seems like everyone and their mother is looking for a good wedding guest dress right now. These are among my most requested posts and with a fall wedding on my horizon, I figured now was a good time to start stocking up on options. Today I’ve got seven different looks to share!
As most of you know, Lulus is typically who I turn to when shopping for formalwear. They have such an amazing selection of dresses—bride-to-be, bridesmaid, cocktail, black tie you name it. Lulus is also where I get many of my heels and accessories so you really can get your full look from here.
Of course, if you’re making a first-time purchase at Lulus, don’t forget to use my code MCKENZ20 for 20% off your entire purchase!
If you’ve got one last wedding of the summer, this dress is perfect for you. This beautiful mauve purple screams “end of summer” and is such a flattering hue on so many. I love the cap sleeve + maxi skirt on this gorgeous gown. This is definitely a more formal style so if you’re looking for a black-tie-approved option, this is right up your alley!
This style was a bit long on me so I popped on a pair of tall heels from Steve Madden to give me some height. Of course, no formal look is complete without a cute little clutch. Lulus has all the best options and this one matched perfectly!
There’s no better wedding than one by the water. If you’re headed to a coastal destination you’ll love this turquoise blue midi dress. This silky silhouette looks amazing on so many different body shapes. I’m keeping things beachy with raffia accents. These lace-up heels are some of my most comfortable from Revolve + I’ve been carrying this clutch all summer long. It’s under $10 and holds all the essentials.
There’s nothing more timeless than a silk, cowl neck dress. This one comes in a few different colors but I was drawn to this beautiful deep purple hue for the fall time. Such a stunning color and of course this style looks good on everyone.
At 5’2 this dress just hit the ground for me. I’m giving it a little bit of height with my all-time favorite wedding shoes the Dolce Vita Pailey. I have these braided block heels in several colors and they are hands down some of the most comfortable for a long evening of dancing. Highly suggest investing in a pair if you’ve got several weddings on the horizon.
If you’ve tuned into any of my other wedding guest posts then I’m sure this dress looks familiar! I’ve had this specific dress in a few different colors now because it’s just that good. The plunging neckline gives a tasteful amount of cleavage + the full ruffle skirt really slims the waist.
Pair with a simple bag and gold heels and you’re good to go. I swear every time I wear this style to a wedding I get a gazillion questions on it!
You can’t go wrong with a little black dress, especially for a black-tie wedding. There’s something about the color that just instantly feels a little more formal. This dress has a few ruffles throughout the skirt + a dainty one along the bust.
Spicing things up with a pop of color heel. These ones are surprisingly from Walmart and under $25. Super comfortable and a great dupe for one of my favorite Steve Madden pairs. Of course, I’m keeping my look balanced with a floral clutch. How adorable is this one?!
I couldn’t love this dress more. It’s perfect for a cocktail attire wedding! The midi length + silk are an unbeatable combination. This style tends to stump people making them appear shorter than they actually are. To avoid this and elongate the legs, I highly suggest slipping into a pair of lace-up heels. Of course, I’m wearing a beaded clutch to tie everything together.
Oh, and did I mention this has a beautiful cascading cowl back?! So flattering omg.
Wow! How stunning is this teal?! Truly the perfect shade for a fall wedding + really makes my summer tan pop. I love mermaid-style dresses as they hug your curves so effortlessly. Plus, this has a deep plunging back that is incredibly sexy!
As you may (or may not) know, silk tends to cling to your body. It’s why it drapes so beautifully but it’s also why it clings to your midriff. If you’re looking for a good pair of Shapewear undies that can hold everything in + smooth over your midriff I highly suggest these from Maidenform. They are the best!
With wedding season still going strong, I hope you found this post helpful. I’m always trying to stock up on wedding guest dresses for you guys so I can give you even more inspiration. Stay tuned for another batch of dresses perfect for the fall time coming your way very soon!
Until then!
