Ireland has been on my bucket list for years and I finally made my way over to the lucky island for a weekend full of beer, sunshine, and smiles. The city charmed me in a way I can’t quite explain.
Perhaps you’re studying abroad and are off to Dublin for a quick visit or you’re like me and are just popping in for some fun! Either way, I’ve got you covered with a few outfit ideas to wear in Ireland this fall.
Unfortunately, it was a short and sweet visit with just two full days so I don’t have a ton of looks to show you… if you want more European fall outfit inspo you can browse dozens of other outfit guides from my favorite cities here.
What better place to break out the green than in Ireland? We visited in mid-October and had beautiful sunny and fifty-five-degree days. It was brisk but with a few warm layers, you could just get by without a jacket. On my first day, I started off in a solid long-sleeve bodysuit and layered on a chunky wool sweater that I got at a local vintage shop in Copenhagen.
Thank God I brought this scarf with me. I wore it every day and it made all the difference in my warmth. You can’t travel to Europe without one. It was super casual in Dublin so I opted for straight-leg jeans and tossed on a pair of boots to match. I love these shoes because they have a super short, manageable heel for all-day wear and they are thin enough that you can wear them under jeans!
This was the perfect outfit for a 9:000 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. day of sightseeing.

You can’t weekend trip to Ireland without making it out to the countryside! I’m wearing another long-sleeve + chunky sweater combination. This was from that same vintage store and so warm. I definitely suggest packing a few solid bodysuits for a good, seamless layer.
Wearing straight-leg jeans from American Eagle and have them cuffed at the ankles with my all-time favorite sneakers—the Dolce Vita Zina. I rave about these in every European outfit guide because they are just that good. If you’re on the hunt for a comfortable sneaker that goes with everything, these are them. Available in over 20 colorways!

If you’re splitting your day up with a few hours of exploring and a few hours of travel I cannot recommend this combo enough. An oversized sweater with leggings is my go-to for a long flight. However, I’m swapping my usual sneakers for a pair of knee-high boots then layering on a matching scarf + leather shacket to elevate this outfit.
Accessorize accordingly and you’re good to go for the day!

If you’re off to dinner and drinks, this little number is right up your alley. I’m a sucker for a statement top and this white strapless one scored me all the compliments from you guys on Instagram. I styled it with basic black trousers.
Toss on a leather blazer/jacket to keep warm outside. The pubs/clubs can get quite toasty so you might be glad to have a tank on by the night’s end!
