The next stop on my month-long European adventure was to the United Kingdom. I’ve been wanting to visit London since my study abroad days and was finally able to make it happen. Had a short and sweet four-day stay in the city and I was so pleasantly surprised!
The sightseeing, the shopping, the street style—it’s all so good! Sharing four outfit ideas to wear in London this fall complete with links to shop. October really was the perfect time to visit— although quite rainy we had a taste of fall temperatures without having to bundle up too much. Temperatures hovered in the low sixties! Plus, we missed the holiday crowds which was a major plus.
Anywho, enough about that, and onto the outfit inspiration!
I used to call this my “uniform” when I was studying abroad because I wore this outfit combination so much. Turns out it’s just as practical years later. This is the perfect time of year to put together a tights outfit.
Style like a Pinterest girl with this equation— start in a long-sleeved bodysuit, layer your favorite chunky sweater, and then toss on your favorite cozy scarf. Toss on tights and slip into a leather mini-skirt. Keep those legs partially covered with a pair of thick socks and knee-high boots. You’d be surprised how comfortable this combo is.
I threw a leather jacket over top for a light layer. If temperatures are dropping by the time you’re visiting, opt for a knee-length coat instead!

All the cool girls are wearing maxi skirts these days… specifically denim ones! I styled this denim maxi with a corset and sandals last week in Italy and transitioned it into the cooler London climate with a long-sleeved bodysuit and a chunky scarf.
We were on our feet all day so my Dolce Vita Zina sneakers were a no-brainer. I have several pairs of these and they are hands down the most comfortable, supportive sneakers on the market. They have an insert that gives you some lift. Very flattering and even more practical!
Don’t forget funky sunglasses– that seems to be the “cool girl” finishing touch here.

I’ve been so into monochrome outfits recently and this charcoal gray number was no exception! I picked up this matching long-sleeve and silk maxi skirt from Hollister and was so impressed with the quality. It wasn’t quite sweater weather but I knew this outfit would take me from afternoon tea all the way to speakeasy happy hour so I tied one around my shoulders for the evening.
I feel silly wearing sneakers with every outfit (I’m much more of a sandals/boots girl), but truly everyone in this city (both tourists and locals) is wearing them. I added my favorite frames to tie the look together.

That sweater I had tied around my shoulders? Here it is on! I got this in a size large for a super cozy, oversized fit. I gave it a little bra tuck to keep it from swallowing me in length. On the bottom, I’m wearing the best trouser pants on the market, also from Hollister. I bought these in two different colors and ended up wearing them in every country. So comfy and have so many ways to style them.
It was chillier today so I tossed on a gray scarf and a matching knee-length jacket. This comes in a few colors and is such a good option if you’ll be traveling Europe this fall. The perfect weight and leaves you looking polished in no time.

I also want to note that London is one of those cities that’s so spread out so even with the tube you’ll find yourself walking a minimum of 10,000 steps a day! Don’t forget comfy walking shoes, you’ll surely need them.
This was also one of those destinations where I found myself wearing one outfit for the entire day—no need to go home and change. What I put on in the morning was often suitable for an entire day’s itinerary! I hope this post gave you some outfit inspiration — for more European fall outfit ideas click here.
