Hola amigas! I just got back from a five-day trip to Punta Cana which means it’s time for an outfit-round-up. I’ve been on dozens of trips this year but this one was arguably one of my favorites. This week was the perfect mix of tropical oasis and beachfront adventure.
Plus, there’s nothing I love more than an all-inclusive resort. I’ll take any excuse to get dressed up while being steps away from my room. It makes the thought of wearing heels that much more exciting, haha.
For reference, my trip to the Dominican Republic was in early December and we had the most perfect weather. Temperatures were in the high seventies with full sunshine every single day. It was humid as all get out but the perfect escape from the midwestern chilliness. Prepare yourself for paradise!
Today I’m sharing everything I wore throughout our stay along with links to shop. Enjoy!
I discovered this sustainable small business line, Leni Swim on Instagram and instantly placed an order for two of their suits. I was blown away by the quality of their pieces— their stuff is double-lined and reversible meaning you get two suits for the price of one. With each pattern, they launch a few different tops and bottoms so you can mix and match them depending on your preference. This triangle top + thong bottom is so flattering. I couldn’t love this more if I tried!
I scored this stunning, backless dress from Boohoo a few months back and had been saving it for the perfect occasion. A chic dinner at our all-inclusive resort seemed like the perfect time to pull it out. This dress is rather shapeless along the front with a high neckline and a shift silhouette.
However, the back has a large cascading ruffle starting at the butt, extending the length of the dress. With an open back, this is truly a head-turning combination. This dress ran very long— I had it hemmed about an inch along the bottom and still wore a raffia lace-up heel to give me a little extra height!
Vacation is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a new bikini… or two! This was the second Leni swimsuit that I grabbed and this color combination was irresistible. These bottoms had the most perfect cheeky cut!
I wore this stunning white linen dress from Fortunate One to dinner and drinks one night and every other person who complimented me asked if it were my honeymoon! If you’re looking for something timeless to wear on your next vacation… look no further!
I paired it with simple raffia block heels and my favorite little clutch to complete the look. I never go on a warm weather trip without this combo—it instantly elevates every dress.
I’ve owned over 500 swimsuits in my lifetime and yet this Seven Swim bikini is hands down my most-worn. I have this suit in three different colors now and reach for it whenever I want to feel sexy. Their collections are made from sustainable materials and designed by a female-founded team. Their fabric is like butter, molding to your skin so effortlessly.
With skimpy, yet tasteful silhouettes you’ll feel like a million bucks in one of these.
I’m a sucker for an ombre dress and this silk one was no exception. Whether you’re taking professional photos on the beach, headed to a wedding, or just looking for something you’ll feel a million bucks in, this is the dress. It has a classic silhouette with a cowl neckline and drapey details.
However, the real start of the show is the back of this dress. It has a stunning open back with two criss-cross straps that are so elegant. I scored so many compliments on this dress, it was unreal. Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of it in full but it hits just at the ankle so it’s the perfect time to slip on a pair of lace-up heels. These ones from Revolve are definitely my favorites!
Isn’t this orange dress just to die for?! From the plunging neckline to the strappy back, this is a striking number. And although it’s got a sexy neckline, the dress is entirely linen so it has a casual, beachy feel to it that’s perfect for dinner at your all-inclusive.

If you’re having one of those mornings where the bottomless drinks are catching up to you and you’re feeling a little too bloated, this is the perfect time to swap your skimpy string bikini for a sexy one-piece. I hardly ever travel without one “in case of emergency”. Plus, they make me feel so effortlessly sexy.
This one from Cupshe is the perfect hue for your next tropical destination. A plunging neckline yet is super sturdy so you can swim in this for hours without it moving around too much! Use code McKenzie15 for an extra 15% off your Cupshe purchase.
