Most people think of year-round sunshine and seventy-degree temperatures when they think of California. And while this is true for most of the state, there are a few hidden gems where you can bundle up and even see snow!
Big Bear Lake is the cutest mountain town just two hours North of LA. We drove up for the weekend and stayed in a cabin, spending a few days exploring the area and soaking up the gorgeous views. If you’re a skier, you’re in luck! Despite it being 50 degrees during our stay, they still had lots of real snow to play in!
Sharing everything I wore during our short stay with links to shop so you can recreate these outfits too.

Made it to the mountains and wow look at that view! January temperatures can fluctuate quite a bit here. One weekend they’ll be getting a foot of snow, and the next it’s fifty-five and sunny. We got the latter of the two.
I layered up with a solid long-sleeve and then a huge oversized sweater from Grey Bandit. Slipped into yoga pants and a pair of platform Uggs dupes go stay warm. Didn’t really need a jacket, especially in the sun but I did appreciate having a cute beanie on to keep my ears warm!

Scored all the love on this adorable Revolve jacket. It’s sherpa lined throughout the bodice and has the cutest crochet sleeves. This has a faux fur fill that kept me (surprisingly) very warm! It was the perfect jacket for the evenings here.
Styled with jeans, boots, and a simple black turtleneck this was the perfect look for dinner and a drink in the town center. It’s very casual here so even this outfit was considered a fashion statement.

I’m a sucker for a good striped sweater. VICI has been killing it with their new arrivals and I snagged this one just in time for Valentine’s Day. Again, it was warm enough to wear this on its own… I just added this fluffy Gigipip hat to add a little something extra to the look!
crewneck || pants || boots || scarf || ear muffs
Who doesn’t love a good monochrome moment? When in doubt you’ll always find me throwing on this all-black outfit. Yoga pants and a cozy crewneck sweatshirt were perfect for our afternoon sledding adventure. I tossed on a cozy scarf and a pair of earmuffs too!
Layer on a puffer jacket and you’re good to go. Don’t let not having proper snow gear keep you from adventuring. There are a few different places you can go sledding/snow tubing and it’s so fun!
Picked up these super cute pajamas from Target to wear around the cabin while we made breakfast and relaxed by the fire. I was amazed at how soft these pajamas were for the price! Under $25 and available in a few different colors.
