New Orleans is a swanky city full of rich culture, amazing food, and lots of history. Whether you’re headed down south to participate in the Mardi Gras madness or to explore a pocket full of southern charm, you’re bound to fall in love with this destination.
I just wrapped up a week-long stay and it was a blast. Breaking down all of the outfits I wore throughout my trip including links to shop so you can recreate.
For reference, I visited in February and temperatures were in the sixties. It was the perfect spring weather.
I also want to preface that I was only here for one day of parades therefore I didn’t participate in the Mardi Gras shenanigans. Had I been, I would’ve packed all the beads, purple green, and yellow mini dresses, and a big pair of chunky boots.
The second I laid eyes on this dress I knew it’d be perfect for spring in the south! The long-sleeve + denim combo kept me a little warmer during the brisk mornings.
I ended up rocking cowgirl boots almost all week long. These are a new style from Tecovas— super comfortable for exploring the city and very durable for all of the cobblestone roads!
All masked up for a little Mardi party! If you’re visiting before Fat Tuesday there’s a good chance you’ll find yourself at a ball. They happen at tons of different hotels and convention centers and are a fun way to immerse yourself in the New Orleans culture.
Women wear all kinds of sequins, fringe, and fun patterns. And of course a mask! If you don’t have one, don’t fret… there are tons of local stores where you can pop in and buy one!
Can’t come to New Orleans without packing a little green. This two-piece set scored me tons of compliments for a day of sightseeing in the city. It’s a sweater-knit fabric so the perfect weight for this time of year.
Paired with cowgirl boots and a matching rancher hat. I wear this one almost every day when I’m in the South—helps keep my hair tame amidst the humidity!
I’m all for a monochrome outfit and lately, the cool girls have been mixing different hues of the same color. Stepping out of my comfort zone with this creme bodysuit and white denim skirt.
Layering on a denim jacket and adding a few brown accent accessories to help break up all the white. I got dozens of compliments on this look!
It’s that time of year when a denim jacket is the perfect piece to pack with you. I needed a casual outfit for a day full of shopping and ended up rocking a Canadian tuxedo!
New Orleans is a super casual city so jeans and a few basic tees are the perfect things to pack.
