What better way to spend Spring Break than on a boat in the middle of the Caribbean Sea? Had the best week island hopping with Virgin Voyages. From Aruba to Curacao to the Virgin Islands, this trip was nothing short of incredible.
Need some cruise outfit ideas before your next getaway? I’ve got you covered with ten looks, complete with links to shop.
Can’t go on a cruise without packing at least one white outfit. Although Virgin did not have a “dress code” I always suggest packing something white in case you want to refresh those family photos/celebrate something special.
This mini dress is from Fortunate One. Paired with the best block heels from Princess Polly‚ these have a 1.5-inch heel that gives you a little lift without killing your feet. Add big earrings and a bright bag (both under $12) to spice up this look!

Each port day I made sure to wear a swimsuit cover-up that could double as an “exploring outfit”. The easiest answer to this is a linen two-piece set. Easy breezy cottons will keep you cool amidst the heat.
Buttoned up you look like a trendy tourist, yet it’s so easy to throw a bathing suit underneath of these. I completed each outfit with these 3 items

Kulani Kinis has quickly become one of my all-time favorite stores to buy swimsuits from. Their bikinis are sustainably made in Australia with tops and bottoms sold separately. Each pattern comes in a few different styles so whether you’re looking for a thong, cheeky, or full coverage they’ve got plenty of options.
These $5 flower clips were a must on this trip. Kept my hair looking cute despite the crazy wind!

A satin set with lace-up heels was the perfect combination for dinner and drinks on the boat. While you can totally keep things casual on a Virgin cruise, I really loved getting to play dress up with all of my favorite resort wear looks.

Another day of exploring called for another linen set with a bikini underneath. These sets were lifesavers for our port days + scored me tons of compliments from locals and other travelers alike.
Kini is another Kulani find. I suggest sizing up in both tops and bottoms here as their stuff tends to run on the smaller side!

Looking for a step up from Amazon bikinis but don’t want to pay $200+ for one suit?! Dippin Daisys is my favorite “middleman” retailer. They run sales all the time and you can stack my code MCK15 for 15% off making their sustainable styles super affordable!
This triangle top and tie-side bottoms are my favorite styles from them. It comes in a few colors but this yellow is one of my favorites for this time of year.

Blackbough is another one of my favorite places to get swimsuits. Although pricier, their suits are the best of the best! I’ve worn this pink ruffled style a few times and keep coming back to it. The lace trim and ruffled details are the sweetest touches.

Looking for vacation dresses? Fortunate One has the best stuff for tropical trips— it’s where I get all of my dresses! Use code MCKENZ for 10% off this stunning backless dress and the rest of your purchase.

How cute is this floral dress? The mix of pink, yellow, and white scored me dozens of compliments. Love a strappy back to show off my new tan— I always get questions on what type of bra to wear with this style dress… linking the best sticky bra under $20 here. You can wear 30+ times before replacing it.

Every Virgin cruise has a “Scarlett Night” where passengers dress up in red. The whole boat gets decorated and it ends with a fun party on the rooftop.
It’s usually the fanciest night too. I wore this stunning ruffle front dress from Hutch. With a deep neckline, this was crazy flattering. I dressed it up with heels and a clutch (this is one of my most reached-for accessories and it’s under $15— fits your phone, keys, and lip gloss easily).

This was my first cruise and I loved every second of it. From exploring new countries to basking in the sun to trying all the local cuisine, I fell in love with the convince and thrill of it all!
