Thailand is a one-of-a-kind destination. I just wrapped up a ten-day trip to Bangkok, Chang Mai, and Pucket and truly did it all. Not sure what to wear in Thailand? You’ve come to the right place then! Whether you’re looking for something modest to wear to a Buddhist temple or tropical to wear on the white sand beaches, I’ve got an outfit for everything.
It’s important to note that Thailand has a sub-tropical climate which means it is hot and humid all year round. Despite temperatures nearing the hundreds, locals tend to dress on the conservative side. Be sure to pack a few modest looks for those tourist-heavy days in the city center.
Sharing all eleven Thailand outfits complete with links to shop and directions to each photo location in case you’re looking for an Instagram-ready photo moment.
If you’re planning on visiting any of the temples while you’re in Thailand make sure you have a few longer skirts/dresses packed and a light layer to cover your shoulders. Dressing modestly is an important sign of respect in Buddhism. On the first day, I opted for a pink-on-pink moment. These pieces were 100% cotton which is a must if you’re visiting during the summer as this fabric will keep you coolest during the 100+ degree temperature days.
I love a good lightweight button-up tied around the shoulders.

Exploring all of the floating markets in these adorable fruit print pants from Hello Moon. Use code HELLOMCKENZ10 for 10% off your purchase. I threw on one of these Scandinavian blouses to keep things frilly and added a few yellow accessories for another pop of color.
This outfit ended up being super breathable and scored me tons of compliments.

Temperatures in Thailand are hot so easy breezy linen dresses were a must for keeping cool during these long days of exploring. This orange maxi had thin tank straps but I made it temple-approved with a silky scarf tied around the shoulders. Tie in your hair when you’re done!

We spent an afternoon at an elephant sanctuary. We had a short hike up the mountain which required close-toed shoes. I wore these blue Dolce Vitas several times throughout the trip and they were so comfortable! No need for activewear, I was just fine in a tee and breathable linen shorts today!

I’m combating the summer humidity with the help of a hat! This crochet bucket hat is one of my favorites to keep my frizzy hair tame while adding a pop of color. If you’re packing for Thailand I suggest bringing all the easy lightweight rompers to stay cool!

We had one night out where we deemed the dress code “sexy” so I wore this backless two-piece set. Viral on Amazon but available from Shein for a 1/3 of the cost, this little number was perfect for a night out in Thailand. Under $25 too so it’s such a steal!

If you’re headed to Thailand chances are high that you’ll spend some time on the water. 10/10 suggest packing a bikini (or three) so you can soak up some sun. This set is from Hollister and one of my favorites right now– top and bottoms are sold separately and each print is available in different cuts so there’s a style for everyone!

The going-out scene here is definitely dressier than we’re used to in the States. A colorful maxi dress and strappy sandals were perfect for dinner & rooftop drinks. Use code MCKENZ for 10% off this Fortunate One find!

I always get tons of compliments when I wear a Kulani Kini! This brand has a lot of cheekier styles that are so flattering. Tops and bottoms are sold separately and I suggest going up when ordering from here!

Another day another cotton maxi dress to keep cool! This print was screaming Thailand’s name. I love the mix of bright colors with fun prints. Definitely a statement but this was perfect for a day spent exploring Bangkok.

If I were to pack for this trip over again, I would’ve brought a few more going-out tops + skirts. I truly had no idea that the nightlife was as big as it is in Thailand so needless to say I hadn’t planned accordingly. I ended up wearing this pink two-piece set from Petal and Pup to dinner and drinks and it was super comfy for a night full of dancing.
Would have been perfect for a day of playing tourist as I’d intended to!
