September is arguably the best month to visit New York City. Not only is the weather perfect but it’s also Fashion Week which means there are all kinds of shows, events, and meetings happening. It’s the perfect excuse to break out a sparkly dress and strut in your favorite heels.
Of course, if you’re just planning on doing a little sightseeing you’re also in luck! It’s gorgeous out this time of year and you can embrace all of the summer-to-fall transition outfits! Recapping all the outfits I wore during my four-day stay complete with links to shop and directions to each photo location so you can spice up your Instagram.
If you’re visiting NYC during September it’s the perfect excuse to break out a sparkly dress and heels. It’s the middle of Fashion Week which means pedestrians everywhere are dressed to the nines. I loved this sparkly mini dress from Billy J — perfect for a Fashion Week event or for a night out at the clubs!

It’s still mini-dress weather in NYC during September. Swap your sandals for ballet flats to ease your way into fall. This Mary Jane style is so trendy right now!

Of all the times I’ve visited New York City I’d never walked across the Brooklynn Bridge until now! It’s a long trek so comfy shoes are a must— I swear by my Archies for long days of walking! I kept things super casual for this touristy activity—just a casual tee and jeans. I highly suggest wearing a hat of some sort since it’s so windy up here!

This mini dress was the perfect piece for a day in New York City. A classic silhouette with a huge bow-back detail. This is perfect for a photo-op, dinner and drinks out, or to live out your Sarah Jessica Parker dreams.
Oh, and a quick shoutout to the strappy kitten heels— they are hands down some of the most comfortable heels I have! I could walk many NYC miles in these babies without getting any blisters.

A little black dress is always a must-have this time of year. I kept things super classy + simple in this little black dress and leopard pumps for a day exploring the city. These shoes have a small heel so they are surprisingly very comfortable even after miles of walking!

Having a Carrie Bradshaw moment in this sparkly dress and pumps. Super extra but oh-so fun. An “over the top” mini dress is an absolute must when visiting the city during Fashion Week!

I got stopped dozens of times while wearing this little white dress. It’s the perfect piece to style in September. A double-lined linen maxi dress will keep you cool yet covered. This drop waist + deep neckline are so effortlessly flattering — you’ll feel like a million bucks!
Toss a sweater over the shoulders for dinner and cocktail hour out with friends!

One of my favorite ways to ease into fall fashion while it still feels like summer outside is to reach for darker/neutral colors. Lots of blacks, browns, and reds with me this week! This set was the perfect casual cute combo I needed for an afternoon full of shopping, coffee runs, and a pizza pitstop.
Of course, I had to add a few pops of silver since it’s so on trend right now.
