Guide to Illinois

With Chicago being one of the largest cities in the United States, the state of Illinois draws in millions of tourists each year. This Midwestern state experiences all four seasons including sunny summers and cold winters.

It’s nicknamed the “Prairie State” as it’s got farmland, forests, and wetlands. Although chances are you’re not headed here to drive through the hills but rather to experience big city life.

There’s so much to do in Chicago– attend a Whitesox game, stroll through the Riverwalk, go for a canal cruise, or shop till you drop along the Magnificent Mile. Don’t forget to try their deep-dish pizza… it’s not famous for nothing!

Many major cities are located within the “Snow Belt” which means they experience lake-effect temperatures and frequent snow. They get all four seasons with beatiful springs, warm summers, and lush falls. Humidity is minimal here.
