Guide to Massachusetts

Massachusetts is one of the six states that make up the New England region and it has so much to offer.

Its main attraction is its capital city, Boston. I’d argue that this is one of the best cities for twenty-somethings as it has a little bit of everything. Tons of restaurants and a lively nightlife full of bars, clubs, and speakeasies. Shop along Newbury Street. Catch a show at one of the local theaters. Cheer on the Sox at a baseball game!

Escape the city with a trip to Cape Cod, one of the East Coast’s finest beauties. Located along the coast, this island is the perfect weekend getaway. The city survives solely on its summer tourism, drawing in New Englanders with its colonial homes, stunning coastlines, and yummy food. Tap onto your preppy side while having a cup of clam chowder. It’s truly a place like no other.

Best to rent a house with your besties so you can spend slow afternoons exploring all the towns have to offer. You must take the ferry over to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard!

TIPS & TRICKS

What to Expect

LANGUAGE:

CLIMATE:

Massachusetts experiences all four seasons so depending on which season you visit, you get a unique experience. They have long, cold winters with lots of snow. The New England area is known to have some of the best fall foliage in the United States. And their summers are pleasant with temperatures rarely climbing above 80 degrees.

I would suggest visiting Cape Cod in July/August as they have a later summer and this is when you get the warmest water temperatures!

CREDIT CARDS/ATMS:

You can pay for everything with card here. Most places accept VISA, Discover, Mastercard and AMEX. ATMs are easily accesible.
