Guide to New York

In New York… concrete jungle where dreams are made of. Alicia Keys said it best “These streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you”. I’m a firm believer everyone needs to visit The Big Apple at least once in their life. It’s a city like no other. With over 8.4 million residents it’s one of the most populated areas in the United States. Even with booming rent prices millions of people move here a year for a slice of opportunity the city has to offer.

Restaurants, bars, clubs, shows, shopping, and historic bits— New York City has it all. It’s a melting pot of cultures drawing in people from not just the United States, but the whole world. It’s overwhelming but it’s exciting, at its prime during the summer when you can stroll through Central Park and in December when you can see Rockefeller tree all lit up.

I’ve been going once a year since I was a kid and even though I’d never move here, a few days of fun is enough for me!

Of course, New York has more than the city to offer. The state is huge with tons of areas worth exploring. Skiers would love the Catskills and sports fans a visit to Buffalo. My family is from NY so I’ve spent quite a bit of time here. It’s a place of its own; a must-visit!

What I Packed for New York:

PRACTICAL SHOES: NYC is one of those cities where you're going to be walking miles and miles on end. Plan accordingly. Dolce Vita Zinas are the best sightseeing sneaker (imo).

KNEE LENGTH COAT: It gets quite windy in the city. A knee-length double-breasted coat will keep you the warmest!

GLOVES: Always a must when I'm in New York.

LAYERS: Temperatures vary drastically throughout the day. It's a good idea to pack layers— basic long sleeves, sweaters, and a coat!

PERSONAL PIECES: There's no better place to embrace your personal style than NYC. Anything goes here so if you've been dying to pull out a funky statement piece, now is the time!
