Day to Night Outfit Featuring the Cutest Dress Under $28

Online pop-up boutiques are all the rage currently and for obvious reasons. With the simplicity of shopping in the comfort of your own home, new and original pieces, and most often the sweetest owners, why wouldn’t you want to shop them?! In fact, studies say that online stores opening is one of the reasons that Brick and Mortar businesses are slowly decreasing in popularity.

Anyway, let’s drop the statistics and start talking about the cutest online boutique. When Casha, the owner of Buttons Lace and Grace Boutique, asked if she could send me one of her pieces in exchange for a feature on my blog I immediately said yes!

Today I am wearing the ‘Taupe Sleeveless Dress with Lace Detail’ which is currently selling for $27. It’s a beautiful, light taupe color with white lace detailing and the most perfect shift shape for an easy breezy look. After seeing how I’ve styled this dress for the day time and then into the evening you’ll be running to go check it out!

For the day time look, I wanted to keep things pretty simple for the sole fact that I was already wearing a dress. For many, wearing a dress is a little out of their comfort zone when going about their day-to-day activities but I believe in wearing things that make you feel confident in your own skin and dresses do just that for me.

I’m pairing mine with some simple mules from DSW, a few dainty gold rings, and my small crossbody from Gap for the perfect, polished look for your Sunday stroll. Oh and did I mention that this dress would be totally appropriate for church?! (It hits just above the knees on me.)

Despite the daintiness of this dress because of the lace detailing, I knew that I could play it up a bit for the night-time as well. I added a black clutch and some super tall stilettos before pairing my favorite black necklace from BellaDesignsByBree with some simple gold rings.

I also scooped my hair into a low bun for an added dressiness to the look. I totally think that a leather jacket would make this look even better, too for the perfect contrast between edgy and classy. Black was the best option for styling this dress into the evening.
