How To Wear These 5 Summer Trends

I’ve shared a lot of outfit ideas with you in the last month or so but it feels like forever since I’ve shared some of the latest trends circling around. It seems like everyone is caught up in sharing their pre-fall finds and promoting the Nordstrom sale but truth be told, I like to savor summer as long as possible. It will definitely be a couple of weeks before I start sharing fall fashion with you… If I’m being honest, I don’t think I can brave the ninety-degree weather in a chunky sweater and pair of knee-high boots just yet.

Anyway, in yesterdays haul I shared ten affordable, yet trendy pieces from Zaful. I got such a positive response from that post and decided to style five of my favorite pieces with you today! All of them are trendy and can easily be dressed up or down. Here are five trends to follow as we approach August.

Yellow Everything

Y’all know that yellow has practically taken over the world this summer. Hey, I’m not complaining; my favorite color has been yellow for a long time and I love how the color brings out my olive tan. This two piece set is right on trend and is an outfit in itself. I decided to go for a more monochrome vibe so slipping on my yellow espadrille platforms was the perfect way to complete this outfit.

Bold Colors

I love a good pop of color for the summer. They are a fun way to spice things up without putting forth much effort. This dress is stunning and draws attention simply because of its color. My floral espadrilles beautifully coordinate with the dress for an all around simple, yet dressy look. You are sure to be a show stopper in this number!

Button Front

As you can tell, I’m such a fan of the button front trend and have been for quite some time now. This trend has been circling around and is so easy to wear and transition into various seasons. This midi skirt is the cutest and as always, two-piece sets are the best as they can be mixed and matched.

Halter Back + Stripes Galore

This dress is to die for. I’m not sure stripes are even considered a ‘trend’ anymore, but they have been spotted nearly everywhere this summer. A halter back is the most elegant option and is the best way to show off your summer tan even more!

So Smocked

Smocked tube tops are the talk of the town and I understand why. They really are the cutest, easiest thing to slip on and style. They pair perfectly with denim shorts or a cute skirt and a white one like the one I’m wearing can be spiced up with just a few fun accessories.
