A Friends Inspired Lookbook

In early 2017 I posted my first ever ‘throwback fashion’ outfit ideas. The 90’s lookbook is still one of my most viewed posts and is constantly getting shown love, even being so old on my site. 

After a very long 6 months of watching Friends on Netflix, I have decided it’s finally time to share some more nineties inspired outfit ideas. I contemplated doing these based off of each character, season, etc. but was too excited after finishing season 10 to wait around for your feedback (I’m super impatient, I know!). 

Therefore, today I’m sharing three Friends inspired outfit ideas. I’m a huge fan of anything Rachel Green styled (and Monica, too) and the whole decades’ fashion in general so I hope you enjoy this post as much as me! 

This outfit was such a classic on Monica and Rachel throughout the show. I have these high waisted mom jeans from the nineties and they are the exact style that the girls would wear. Rachel was known for wearing a fitted tee tucked into them so I went ahead and wore a simple black tee. Mules were all the rage in the nineties so I threw mine on to complete such an easy, yet iconic outfit idea.

Outfit Details – tee: Zara, jeans: Gap, shoes: Target, scrunchie: Forever 21

Oh, the classic overalls and cardigan combination. These were my mom’s overalls from back in the day so this Gap pair is perfectly suited for this lookbook. Rachel was always spotted in overalls throughout the warmer months and truly rocked them like none other. The cardigan was a classic throughout the show and white tennis shoes were always on repeat!

Mock necks and turtlenecks were by far my favorite trend from the nineties. They were constantly styled throughout the show and were always layered under cami crop tops. I was super pleased with how this one looked + it was gingham which was a regular for Rachel throughout the show. High waisted denim completed this look and I, of course, stuck with the classic black mule.

I know, I know, they are all SO cute! I am obsessed with all of them but if I had to choose a favorite it would definitely be outfit number one; it is such a classic from the show. Which outfit do you like best?!
