Tax-Free Week Shopping Guide

Maryland’s tax-free weekend begins Sunday, August 12th and ends Saturday, August 17th. I could not be more excited, as tax-free week is when I tend to get a majority of my back to school shopping done! 

I will definitely be hitting the mall and some of my favorite stores with my sister this week for some major closet revamping. 

Today I’m sharing some of my favorite finds from my favorite stores; when (your state’s) tax-free week rolls around you can reference this blog post for all sorts of trendy yet versatile pieces for the upcoming months.

I’m also sharing what’s on my back to school wishlist! I may have tons of clothes but there are for sure a few pieces that I would like to pick up for my senior year. Not to mention, this is my favorite time to shop as all the summer pieces are discounted like crazy and fall pieces are on sale in hopes to lure people in. 

My Back To School Wishlist

I’m not one who is in need of many new clothes but there are a few things that I would like to add to my closet before school starts up. Here are a few things I’ll be on the lookout for as I do my shopping next week.

Keep in mind that although I do surf the web a lot for clothes, I almost never order online. I much prefer to try something on in person to really get a feel for it. Therefore, it’s not guaranteed I’ll come across all of these pieces; nearly all of my back to school shopping will be done via the mall this weekend!

Some Favorite Finds

A few  More than a few pieces that I have found while aimlessly scrolling through the Internet. I’ve broken them down into categories based off which section I feel they fit best; yes, I am trying to keep this blog post as organized as possible for you!

Those Summer Sale Pieces

Now is the time to surf those end of season sales. I always find the cutest things towards the end of August. I know fashion bloggers are starting to feature all sorts of fall finds but let’s be honest, we’re still wearing dresses and sandals because it’s hot out, girlfriend!

Back To School Must Haves

There are some things that you just cannot ‘school’ without. Stock up on some of my favorites while they are tax-free. You’re sure to find yourself reaching for them throughout the school year.

Fall’s Around The Corner

Although it’s hard to say goodbye to summer, fall is approaching quickly. Now’s the time to snag a few fall pieces while they are on sale! Here are a bunch I’m currently crushing over.

A Few Last Minute Tips

A fresh wardrobe full of new things is my preferred confidence booster before starting a new school year. Take advantage of tax-free week and all the end of summer, beginning of fall sales that are going on right now! There is truly no better time to stock up.

However, keep in mind that investing in pieces that can be worn several different ways is just as important. There’s no use purchasing something you’ll only wear once. Before buying something, try to consider three different outfits you may find yourself wearing that specific piece. If you struggle to come up with three ideas then you may want to reconsider before purchasing it!
