As many of you know, I wore a stunning white two-piece gown from Terani Couture to prom. Shortly after, I began freelancing for the designer. Each week I share various different styles, talk about what’s trending, or review a dress. You can catch up on all of my post’s on Terani’s Blog here.
This past week I was given the opportunity to share my experience with a stunning gold evening gown. In today’s vlog for Terani Couture, I’m sharing the getting ready process for a gown photoshoot and my thoughts on the dress itself. Of course, after watching the video, you’ll get to see the photos Madison and I took of the dress in action.
This vlog was filmed and edited by myself but was uploaded on Terani’s YouTube channel! Make sure you’re subscribed so you won’t miss more of my reviews.
As I said, I’ve been blogging each week for Terani Couture. For this post, Terani sent over one of five evening gowns that I talked about in this blog post. Be sure to check it out if you’re looking for a gorgeous style or want more details on the dress I’m reviewing today.
The evening gown that Terani sent over is 1912E9202. This gown comes in four colors but here I am wearing the ‘Gold’. As you can tell, this dress is absolutely stunning! This dress is perfectly suitable for an occasion like prom, but it’s truly an evening gown meaning it’s meant to have that Red Carpet esq moment.
What I love most about this gown is the cut of it. It truly felt like a princess dress when on! This is one of those few styles that I feel would flatter just about any body shape. Whether you’re busty, curvy, flat chested, or skinny this classic silhouette is bound to make you look and feel your best. It gives off the strapless vibe but the embroidered metallic leaf detail is connected to two dainty straps in the back which hold the dress up.
I found myself being very appreciative of the two straps as this dress needs some support to hold it up. There is so much crinoline in this dress to help keep it’s shape that it does add a bit of weight and fullness to the gown. Without the straps, I have a feeling that the skirt would have weighed down the bust. The material in this skirt is amazing. Although super poofy, it helps this dress look full from every side. Plus, you don’t have to do a ton of readjusting on the train every time you move to grab a new camera angle.
And if you weren’t sold on this evening gown already, it has pockets! Yep, you read that right. I know that pockets are a huge deal breaker for some people and the ones on this dress are incredible. They are super deep and are able to fit any miscellaneous items that you may not want to carry. For reference, I was able to fit my vlog camera and phone in my pocket while shooting this dress!
I kept my jewelry super simple since the beaded detail of the top is so stunning. No necklace was needed, just my go-to pair of gold statement earrings and a simple gold bracelet. I went for a pair of nude heels although the train on this dress was so long on me that you couldn’t even catch a glimpse of them!
If you enjoyed this dress or are looking for the perfect evening gown for your next event, be sure to check out Terani Couture. I’ll be sharing lots more blog posts and vlogs over on their channels and I’d love if you were along for the ride! Hope you enjoyed today’s post; it felt so good to be dressed up ‘prom style’ again!
With love, McKenz
