I’ll be honest— I hate the first few months of the year. Yep, you read that right. Months. The truth is, sunshine just has a way of fueling my soul and January-March always seem to lack that one important factor. For some reason, when it’s dull outside everything else seems to follow. However, the sun decided to peek out for a few moments over the weekend and with some new, happy pieces from Chicwish just waiting to be worn, I headed out to style them. I wish the weather and sunshine cooperated this way every day— it sure makes my job a heck of a lot more enjoyable!
First up is the cutest skort ever. I saw this cheetah cutie on Chicwish’s site and just couldn’t resist it. I love anything in this pattern and the fact that this was a skort made it even better. I tucked in a black long sleeve bodysuit and decided to dress it up a bit with my black over the knee boots. This look is perfect for so many different occasions! If you’re wanting to transition this look into “going out” attire, I’d simply swap out the over the knees for a pair of chunky black booties. Nothing better than a skort if you’re planning on breaking it down on the dance floor!
Now, I’m well aware this look is only seasonally appropriate depending on where you live. Thankfully, the day I was shooting these looks it was in the fifties here in Maryland so I was just fine sporting this look. However, I know that’s not the case for everyone. My recommendation if you’re in that boat: add sheer tights and a black faux fur coat for a little extra warmth.

By now you know I love anything yellow. This sweater is more of a muted mustard which I thought was a fun spin on my typical color choice. I love the fit of this sweater— it’s a chunky cable knit which makes it extra warm and it’s the perfect length to front tuck into a pair of jeans. I just recently received these cute snake skin booties and thought they would look perfect with this sweater. They’ve got a bit of mustard in them which ties this look together perfectly.
Because, these are more of a western style bootie, I thought this belt would be the perfect way to accessorize the outfit. This is one of my go-to outfit ideas for a day of classes. Easy to throw on yet you look cute and put together.

I was drawn to this sweater the second I saw it! It’s very rare I reached for a fitted sweater but this one instantly caught my eye. Something about the wrap around fit to this was calling my name. This piece could easily be dressed up or down and with it being a classic black, there really are endless ways to wear this.
I paired it with a pair of skinny jeans and my black over the knee boots. Although, with this sweater being on the shorter side, I think booties would have complimented it nicely too. I popped on my nicer black purse and decided to play off the ring detailing by adding my favorite belt and some chunky gold hoops. This is a great date night look!

As much as I hate to admit it, snow season is right around the corner. Luckily, I’m gearing up before hand and stocking up on all the cutest winter weather gear. For starters, a furry coat is a must. This grey leopard one is the softest thing ever! I love a good jacket and think this one makes a subtle statement.
I’m wearing a cute blue sweater from Chicwish underneath too. This sweater is so soft and the fun little balls on it are an unexpected twist on a classic silhouette. I thought a beanie would pair well with this look so I popped one on that matched my new favorite white booties.
