Spring Chicwish Finds

Agh, I cannot believe it’s been almost a month since these adorable new Chicwish pieces came in the mail. I actually received these items just hours before packing up my dorm and heading home for the semester. I shot them the following week before being placed on lockdown and am just now getting around to sharing them with you all.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve teamed up with Chicwish (you can read my last post with them here) which has me even more excited about today’s post! I’ve been doing tons of trend forecasting this week for my fashion classes which has me all excited about what’s going to be hitting the fashion industry within the next year. I figured what better post to get up today then some current spring trends with Chicwish?! Here’s everything to look out for this season.

Seeing Stars 

Stars, stars, stars… they’ve been around for quite some time now but they are here to stay—well at least for spring/summer 2020. This cute sweater is just what you need for those chilly days that still linger. We get them here and there to remind us that it’s not quite summer yet! I love the gold embroidery along some of these stars.

I front tucked this sweater into a pair of black cropped flare jeans. These are my new favorite style of pants and look adorable with an oversized top. I went ahead and added a few star accessories to spice up my look, earrings and a belt worked perfectly. As for shoes, reach for a pair of mules. I have this shoe in a few different colors and they are definitely some of my favorites. Talk about the best shoe for that spring transition!

The Perfect Puff

Statement sleeves called and said they are here to play! I’ve loved belle + ruffled sleeves in years prior but this spring ordered up puff sleeves. This style is so unique and is sure to make a statement. This top is awesome because the torso is made up of a cozy, sweater-like material while the sleeves are a sheer tulle. This makes for the ultimate spring combo that will keep you cool. This baby pink is the perfect pop of color too.

To play off of this feminine top, I went ahead and paired it with a leather skirt. Leather is the perfect way to add a little edge to your look. I love this bit of contrast; slip on a pair of heels and you’ve completed your look. I totally felt like a Pink Lady from Grease in this outfit!

Dainty Prints

Forget those loud, large florals; dainty prints are in this year! I love something simple like these white dots as they aren’t overwhelming and are a bit more flattering on my petite frame. Because this print was so small and simple, I opted for a large white statement earring. These Sonja Morgan earrings are the perfect contrast and really tie this look together.

Midi/maxi dresses are another favorite of mine during the springtime; they serve as a great transition from jeans to shorts weather. Paired with some open toes mules and you’re good to go!

Paper Bag Jeans 

Next up we’ve got anything but skinny jeans. I’ve been a tried and true skinny jeans fan for years now and suddenly I have little interest in them. Flares, crops, and paper bag styles have been my love language lately! I think they provide a unique take on denim and help keep things interesting.

These jeans are oh so soft and have got the perfect fit to them. I love how they look paired with just a simple white tee and platform sneakers. This look is so easy, giving off those “girl next door” vibes. Added my cow print clutch for obvious reasons…
