I know we’re stuck in quarantine but if we weren’t this would be the time that everyone’s favorite music festivals and summer concerts would be starting up. SheIn and I have been planning this festival collaboration for months now and I decided that although these events have obviously been postponed, a few fun outfit ideas might a) help lighten the mood right now and b) be helpful later on down the line.
I’ll be honest with you; I’ve never actually been to one of these festivals so I may not be the most reliable source of information. But, I have scoured Pinterest for hours upon hours and watched tons of Coachella YouTube videos so I feel like I’ve got a pretty good idea of what goes. Because that’s just it, anything goes at a music festival… or so I’m told.
Whether you’re headed to a concert, music festival, or something else fun you’re sure to do it in style with one of these outfits. I hope you enjoy these looks, feel free to pin them so you can reference this post when things finally return back to normal!
So, I know just about anything flies at Coachella and everyone’s got their own personal style; I imagine if it were me going, I’d be all about the western vibes. I love the country aesthetic and think there’s no better place to embrace it than the middle of the desert.
For this look, I started off with some cow print. This is actually a swimsuit but I’m wearing it as a bodysuit in this instance. I actually find the swimsuit part to be quite practical as many say they get so hot and sweaty being outside for hours on end. For bottoms, I am wearing a pair of faux leather shorts. These shorts + the fringe jacket actually came in a set together and I am so impressed with the fit + quality of this combination. These shorts were high waisted and fit me like a glove. This leather adds a bit of texture to the look which is so necessary.
I lovee the fringe coat that came with the shorts. I know it’s a bit hot to be wearing a leather jacket but if the rescheduled dates remain in Septemeber and October like they are currently set to be, there’s a chance you may appreciate having one! Either way, the fringe adds movement to the look and makes for a great photo opp. For shoes, I stuck to these western-style boots. I love that these are a mix between a bootie and a classic cowgirl boot. So cute and I hear that close-toed shoes are the way to go for these events! I so wish I would’ve remembered my cowgirl hat; this look isn’t quite complete without it!

The number one most common outfit idea I saw when looking up festival outfit inspiration on Pinterest was a bodysuit, belt, and sheer dress combination. I knew I needed to give this combo a try. I’m pretty sure this outfit idea doesn’t usually fly when you’re out and about in public so I’m wearing it with a skirt for the sake of me not actually being at a music, festival when taking these photos lol. I’ll show you how the look is intended to be worn a little later.
Mesh pieces add a lot of flair to your look! Not only are they super popular for concert fits but they are a must-have in college. These sheer pieces can be styled as a dress layered with a bodysuit like the one I have on here or a top layered with a bralette. For this look, I opted for those same white boots from the previous look. I so wish I had a white cowgirl hat to finish off this outfit.
To give this outfit some shape I’m adding a silver western belt to accentuate the waist. I love the metallic crocodile print this has to it. Oh, and let’s talk sunglasses. A fun pair of square frames will surely take your look to the next level. I’m obsessed with this pair from Discount Glasses; they are perfect for this occasion!

The items styled above were all apart of this SheIn try on haul. In addition to the items you just saw I’ve got a handful of other fun tops, shoes, and accessories all perfect for your next music shindig! Be sure to give this video a thumbs up if you want to see more like it.
I had so much fun filming the try-on portion of this haul that I decided I didn’t want the fun to end there. Rather than capping this post at the first two looks, I decided to keep it going and create even more outfit ideas. A bit more casual though, just mirror style for this batch of outfit ideas.
Here’s how I had originally intended to style the star mesh dress. I pulled one of the photos from my “Festival Style” Pinterest boards to show you the original look I was aiming to recreate. I obviously went on the opposite spectrum for colors but I love the way this look pulled together, especially with my cowboy hat! Obviously you couldn’t wear this anywhere but a music festival/concert but I think it’s the cutest.
I pinned tons of photos before choosing the items for this haul and when I saw this silver fringe one piece I knew I needed it for the sake of this post. I obviously don’t have the body glitter or crown on to match it but that seemed a little extra for the sake of these photos. I love the glam cowgirl vibes this look has. The fringe will have you wanting to twirl for daysss.
Here’s that cute little tie-dye maxi dress. I love the cowl neck dress trend right now. It’s so 90s and looks awesome on so many different body shapes. Feeling extra boho hippie in this look. Popped on white chunky sneakers as close-toed shoes are a must. Probably not everyone’s first outfit choice but still a cute look nonetheless.
The shorts from earlier in this post were among my favorite pieces from this haul. There are so many ways to style them so I figured I’d show them styled at least once more. This fringe top looked adorable with it. To keep things western I added the double buckle belt, the white boots, and my cowgirl hat, of course! So cute; this would be perfect for a country concert!
Alright, definitely a favorite look of mine. This one is a bit more laid back and would be perfect for a summer concert, I think! I’m pairing just a simple silk tank with some old cut off denim shorts. For shoes, I went with snakeskin booties from SheIn (to keep things close-toed) but obviously needed some sort of western inspo tied into it which is where the buckle belt comes in. Lots of gold jewels will finish off this look!
So in the haul, I seem really unsure about this tank + shorts combo and truthfully I’m still not 100% sold on biker shorts but I can’t lie I felt really cool in this outfit. Don’t really know why—maybe it’s the power of a belt bag, black sunnies, and gold hoops all paired together. Yep, definitely that triple threat. Mesh socks with white chunky sneaks are the perfect footwear combo.
Here’s that little sparkly set in action. I was really unsure how I felt about this at first but it ended up looking super cute. Apparently I am incapable of styling an outfit without incorporating a western buckle belt so here’s another one with some of my favorite booties and cow print earrings! Coachella, cowgirl chic!
So the moon boots are like impossible for me to style. I thought I would be able to find more ways to wear these but I was wrong, this was basically the only outfit I could come up with. Here’s that mesh top with a black bralette underneath. Not everyone’s style but so fun with matching mesh socks peeking out of the boots. If you have suggestions on styling these shoes please let me know.
Here’s the outfit I showed you earlier just complete with the help of my cowgirl hat. I mean, come on, doesn’t it look even cuter than before. I seriously need to wear this outfit asap.
Last but not least, here’s the mesh cut out bodysuit styled. I figured this needed to be paired with something relatively plain and simple hence the solid black denim shorts from Express. I stuck with the white boots— these were so incredibly versatile for this post. They could look like cowgirl boots if need be or just simple white boots.
