3 Summer Chicwish Outfits

As many of you know, it was a goal of mine to post every day in the month of June. However, with all that is going on in the world right now, I made the decision to postpone yesterday’s blog and Instagram content in respect of #BlackoutTuesday and to spend the day better educating myself and connecting with Black influencers. I also watched the movie, Thirteenth on Netflix which dives deep into Jim Crow laws and racial inequality within our justice system. I am planning on watching Just Mercy later today upon recommendation from many of you.

If you have any articles that have spoken to you/helped you better understand the reality of our world right now please pass them along. I will be continually updating my Instagram stories with your recommendations and offering resources I feel are helpful.

On the flip side, blogging is my job and while I will continue to shed light on these racial injustices, I will be continuing my work the way I know best. I hope you can understand this. Typical Two Piece

Oh, how I love reaching for a good two-piece set in the summer; there is nothing more effortless. Just pop one on and bam you’ve got a complete outfit all in one! I also love sets because you’re getting more bang for your buck— you can wear the pieces together or separately giving you three outfits for the price of one.

This is the cutest eyelet lace set! Puff sleeves are such a big trend this season and add so much dimension to a look. The bottoms of this set are a skort which is so awesome; this piece gives you the mobility of shorts but the dressiness of a skirt which is a killer combination! I added a straw bag and some espadrille wedges to tie this look together. Oh, and a big pair of crochet earrings to coordinate!

Summer Breeze

I love a good maxi dress in the summertime and when I saw this cute leaf print one I knew I had to have it. This print is so different than anything else I own and I absolutely love how fun it is. It’s got a high neck in the front with a cute little cutout along the back. So easy and breezy to throw on after a day at the beach.

This dress didn’t quite reach the ground like a typical full-length maxi, stopping right at my ankles.  Because of this, I felt a pair of heels would look best with it and would help elevate this look. I reached for these white block heels that have quickly become a favorite amongst my wardrobe. I then added a straw bag to keep that beachy vibe.

Classy Casual 

I also grabbed these pink pants as I thought they would be the perfect option this time of year. I’m typically a short or dress girl but there are definitely brisker evenings where I want to reach for something a bit longer. These pants are awesome as they are very airy, keeping you from sweating your booty off while wearing them. They are also extremely stretchy and can easily be dressed up or down.

I paired them with just a simple black tank top but added black heels and a cute straw cluctch to dress the look up a bit. This look would be perfect for going out at night while on vacation. Not only do you look adorable but this look is still super comfortable.
