Yesterday’s Greek Week post kicked off my “What To Wear” series with ten outfit ideas to wear during Open House round of sorority recruitment. As promised, today I’m back with part two, where I’m sharing ten outfit ideas for Sisterhood round. Tomorrow, we will wrap things up with the long-awaited Preference round looks.
As always, my goal is to provide as much outfit inspiration while sharing styles that are realistic + affordable. Most of the items I’m styling in today’s post are rather new (with the exception of my jewlery) and can be shopped directly through the product images/links below.
In today’s YouTube video I’m sharing ten of my favorite outfit ideas for Sisterhood round of sorority recruitment. I will admit, yesterday’s video didn’t get as many views as I had anticipated but those of you who did leave comments seemed so appreciative of the outfit advice. Nonetheless, I had so much fun creating this series and really stepped out of my comfort zone to do so. Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss tomorrow’s ten looks.
As I mentioned yesterday, for the sake of there being so many different outfits, I took these photos old school, #mirrorselfie style. I hope you don’t mind—I just knew 30 outfits over the span of three days was too much to ask of Madison, lol.
Anyway, without further adieu, here are ten outfit ideas that are perfect for Sisterhood round of sorority recruitment. Please keep in mind that every school’s dress code is a little different so what works for me, may need to be modified a bit to work for you! If you go to Kent State the suggested outfit guidelines are: think business casual, a bit dressier than Open House, skirts, sundresses, heels if you’re comfortable with them, rompers, jumpsuits, whatever you feel confident in!
Also, Kent State does not have a separate Philanthropy round but if your school does, these outfits would work perfectly for that too!
Sisterhood round is definitely a step above Open House round. While short skirts are definitely still appropriate for this round of recruitment, I think a midi skirt is a bit dressier. I am a huge animal print lover so this one was right up my alley; plus it’s got a really high slit to still show off your legs.
I’m pairing it with just a simple black cropped cami. If this doesn’t fit your recruitment “dress code” I’d recommend swapping it out for a black, short sleeve bodysuit. You are going to be on your feet for quite a bit during this round so if you’re not used to wearing heels, reach for something a bit flatter.

A romper is a great option for this round as it’s that perfect happy-medium. This simple black envelope style can easily be dressed up or down. Remember, expressing your personal style is so important during recruitment and sororities want to see your personality showing through your outfits.
If you’re a bright, bubbly kind of girl this outfit is the best! I’m spicing up the solid black with a super fun pair of lace-up, pom pom sandals. These are sure to make a statement and are so easy to compliment. I recommend wearing a pair of statement earrings too to draw attention to your face.

This outfit is probably the most common you will see throughout this round. A simple sundress is a no brainer outfit that takes little to no effort. Simply slip one on and accessorize! I’m wearing a simple pair of earrings and my Mantra Band cuff that you will see so often throughout these posts—it’s one of my favorites!
I wore my Palm Beach Sandals throughout my own Sisterhood round of recruitment as they are some of my most comfortable shoes to walk in. You will be doing lots of moving from house to house so make sure you’re prepared and dressed for the weather!

I figured I would throw another romper into the mix. This one is definitely on the dressier side and is something I would honestly wear on any given day at school. This romper can wrap a few different ways but I’ve got it tied with a plunging neck and an open back. The navy and white combo is perfect since these are my school’s colors.
I threw on just a simple pair of white mules. These have just a little one-inch heel so they are very manageable for me. Sadly, they are super old but check DSW for similar pairs.

I’ve mentioned throughout my videos how important it is to have meaningful conversations with the girls who are recruiting you. They want to know about your passions, aspirations, etc. For me, I was Editor-In-Chief of my high school newspaper and I hope to work in a magazine setting post-grad which is why this is the perfect dress for me. Not only can it start conversations since it’s a newspaper print but it’s so flattering!
I’ve got this dress on with a simple pair of black heels and some large statement earrings. This outfit is a bit fancier than most people will be wearing for Sisterhood; it would definitely work for Preference round as well. Keep in mind, that Kent State has a very large fashion program so there will definitely be some out of there styles!

If you’re a more casual girl, go with something a bit more laid back. I featured a few outfits similar to this one in yesterday’s post and yet this is still a fine route to take for Sisterhood. I love a little cropped cami with a feminine skirt. Add statement earrings and a simple pair of slides— you’re good to go!

Again, just a simple slip dress will do. This one is a bit more casual, but again something a lot of girls will be wearing. I love this blue and have it on with my Palm Beach Sandals. Elastic platforms are another great option to wear during this round. I’ve got on some huge floral earrings to complete my look.

Little to no thought goes into this outfit so if you’re looking for something last minute or are someone who struggles with putting outfits together, I encourage you to reach for a two-piece set. This one is super cute and has a bunch of tie details along the top + an elastic waist skirt. I’d recommend sizing up if you decide to grab this one.
For shoes, I’m keeping it simple with gold sandals and am popping on a pink pair of tassel earrings to bring out the color from my set.

If I were to go through sorority recruitment again, this is probably the look I would wear. Not only is it trendy but it’s so “me” and as I’ve said, you want to choose a look that screams you! I’m a sucker for a smocked dress and anything tie-dye and this one meshes those two loves perfectly.
I paired this dress with some white clear strap heels. These are a bit taller than your typical block heel so I’d only recommend them if you’re comfortable wearing heels for long periods of time. This dress also came with a matching scrunchie that looks adorable on the wrist next to my watch!

Last but not least, another dress look. This dress is definitely on the more casual side with the gingham print and halter neckline. It’s super chill so I’ve got it paired with my black platform sandals. These are from Off The Beaten Track and they are my new go-to shoes if I’m planning on walking around for hours. They’ve got insane amounts of support to them.
For earrings, I’m spicing things up a bit and throwing on my gold stars along with a matching necklace. If you couldn’t tell, I love anything super matchy-matchy, lol.

I really hope you’re finding these posts helpful and that they are giving you some outfit inspiration for your own sorority recruitment. You definitely don’t need to go out and buy all new clothes as many of these looks can be recreated with items already found in your wardrobe. However, if you are planning on purchasing something from today’s blog post a majority of the items are from SheIn and you can use my code Q4mckenz15 to get 15% off your entire purchase.
I also recommend heading to your Walmart and stocking up on statement earrings. Most of the pairs I’m wearing throughout these posts are old and from their Time&Tru line which has $4 statement earrings! They instantly change an outfit but for a super affordable price.
Make sure to check back in tomorrow for ten Preference round outfit ideas. Talk to you then! + AOE to all my fellow Alpha Phi sisters!
With love, McKenz
