5 Summer Trends I’m Following

Following fashion trends doesn’t have to come with a huge price tag. In fact, when choosing trends I want to try, I prefer going the inexpensive route—choosing items that look cute but aren’t going to cost me an arm and a leg! Today I’m sharing the top five summer trends I’m following this summer featuring some of SheIn’s latest arrivals. I hope you love these looks as much as I do!

Sheer Accents

It’s no secret that smocked tops and statement sleeves have been trending for quite some time now, but throw sheer accents into the mix and bam you’ve got a triple threat! I have seen so many stores coming out with tops like this white one and am such a fan. The sheer polka dot sleeves are an unexpected touch that really spices up an outfit!

I love the look of a long sleeve with shorts—these mesh sleeves will keep you from getting too hot. I reached for just a simple pair of high waisted shorts. This pair from Express has a paper bag fit making them extra comfortable. This outfit would have looked adorable with a gold chain belt if mine hadn’t broken while getting changed into this outfit, lol!

For shoes, I’m sporting some of my favorite white heels. These have a clear strap along the toe box which pairs perfectly with this top! I threw on some fun new puff ball earrings and a nude crossbody purse to accessorize. This look would be awesome for dinner out, brunch with the girls, or even a date night!

Modern Milkmaid 

Milkmaid tops have finally made their comeback but they’ve been modernized, don’t worry! For starters, this top is obviously cropped making it super on-trend. The puff details have more of that cap-sleeve look that’s so flattering and the tie along the back really brings this outfit together as a whole.

Not to mention this color is to die for! While this top definitely looks awesome with jeans, I decided to stick with my favorite white denim shorts. I wear these constantly throughout the summertime as they’ve got the perfect cut-off fit for tiny tops like this one.

To give this look a beach vibe I’m throwing on some new hoop earrings. These have dainty blue beads and a puka shell along them; they match this outfit to a tee! I’m popping on some espadrille wedges and a matching straw bag. Now if only I were window-shopping along the boardwalk in this outfit, sigh.

Boho Butterflies 

Love Shack Fancy and Target just recently launched a collection together and this bohemian floral dress reminds me so much of the dresses that were apart of it! The shape of this dress is so unique and I couldn’t love it more. I love finding pieces from SheIn that are different and look straight off of an expensive site like Revolve or Love Shack Fancy!

This dress has got all the top trends incorporated into one: billowing bishop sleeves, floral print, an asymmetrical wrap, a soft color palette, and the most gorgeous slightly off the shoulder neckline. This dress would be fantastic for any fancier event: a wedding, nice dinner, graduation party, etc.

My favorite part of this outfit though are the matching butterfly earrings. Butterflies are so big right now and I’ve been adding my fair share of accessories into my collection. I love these and they are as light as a feather! I’m wearing tall nude heels to dress this look up and that same nude crossbody from the first outfit.

Blue and White 

If you remember my New York Fashion Week blog post I’m sure you remember my blue and white porcelain inspired boots! That was the true start of my love for the blue and white floral trend! When I saw this top I knew I needed to grab it. I love everything about it from the ruffled straps to the peplum bottom. I decided to go for more of a monochrome outfit and reached for white jeans. This look totally reminds me of something out of Mama Mia!

To bring out the blue in my top, I’m wearing matching heels. These are hands down one of my favorite pairs of shoes I own. They are the perfect height making them super comfortable and yet still dressy. However, I know heels aren’t everyone’s style (they just make me feel confident and in charge, lol). Swap these shoes out for a pair of Jack Rogers or simple sandals if you prefer.

Puff Sleeves

As you can tell, I’m a big fan of a fun top, jeans, and heels. Something about this combination just never fails for me. It makes you look insanely put together and yet all you did was throw on a taller pair of shoes. You can’t go wrong with this!

I know this top isn’t everyone’s taste but I’ve been seeing this trend everywhere recently and had to give it a try myself. It’s certainly unique with the smocked bust and oversized puff sleeves. I’m a sucker for this metallic pink too; it’s such a fun hue for the summer!

This top would definitely pair well with shorts since it too is a long sleeve but I reached for high-waisted straight leg jeans instead. These are my favorite pants by far as they pair perfectly with just about anything. To dress them up I’m wearing gold metallic lace-up heels and the most gorgeous statement earrings ever. I love the way these frame my face!
