Weekly Wrap Up #33 2020

Gosh, what a rollercoaster of emotions this week has been. I’ve never been one to be eager about the school year. I love the fresh start when the time comes but I’ve always appreciated summer for what it is and the transition it allows. This year was different with the added Coronavirus time and so I had a much harder time leaving home.

And yet, Friday I moved back to Ohio and I feel as happy as ever. I am excited to be on my own and re-establish the independence that I once had. It feels good to be around people, to see my friends, and to have a change of scenery. Today I’m taking you through my last days in Maryland and my first few in Ohio. Sorry that this post is a little all over the place—I’m still settling in and trying to figure out my new outfit of the day situation. Bare with me + thank you for the enormous amount of love this week; I am forever grateful!

THIS WEEK’S WEEK IN MY LIFE VLOG

I decided to daily vlog this week in order to really break down what I’m packing for college, how I’m packing, saying goodbyes, and more. You can check out all of my videos here. Be sure to give this video a little extra love; it was a huge collab with IKEA!

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

8.9.20— It was our first day home from the beach and I spent the day getting all the things done— I had videos to edit, blog posts to publish, errands to run, and items to pack. I spent the evening eating dinner with my second fam and soaking up my last real night with Connor!

8.10.20— Madison and I headed out for our final photoshoot of the summer today. It was bittersweet snapping our last photos and changing in the backseat of my sweaty car. I will miss these days together so much more than Madison will ever know! I hit 25K on YouTube today too which was the cherry on top of today!

8.11.20— Today I tackled the second half of my stuff: beauty, clothes, shoes, and accessories. It took me quite a while to get everything all packed up but it felt so good to have everything squared away at the end of the day. Chase and I headed to the driving range this afternoon to hit some balls and then grabbed ice cream.

8.12.20— Boy oh boy was it a busy day. This morning Madison, Chase, and I went to IKEA to film a collaboration and pick up some new goodies for my apartment. I grabbed some furniture, a rug, and more throw pillows. Afterward, I headed to a doctor’s appointment than home to build furniture than back out again to enjoy our last Hornet’s Nest as a family.

8.13.20— It’s my last full day at home and I’m feeling all the emotions. Packing up my final things and saying goodbye to a season of life I will forever cherish. I stayed busy with a few meetings, a fresh hair cut, and some time with my second fam. Year three of saying goodbye to Con and I don’t think it ever gets easier. 🙁

8.14.20— Hit the road bright and early this morning to make it to Ohio just in time for our 9 am move in time. We go everything all squared away and the bedroom looks amazing! The living room is still a work in progress but I’ll include a sneak peek photo here. Full room tour coming very soon, I promise! Said goodbye to my parents and settled in for my first night in my new home.

8.15.20— Oh what a packed day it was! I slept like a baby in my new apartment! My roommates and I headed to do a little apartment shopping and picked up some cute new decor. We snapped some photos in the room, went to dinner at Brico (my fav place in Kent, hands down), and went to see some of our other sorority sisters. It feels so good to be back.
