Weekly Wrap Up #34 2020

Wow, has it been the craziest week ever! As many fo you know, I moved back to campus last Friday to begin my sophomore year of college as a Fashion Merchandising student at Kent State University in Ohio. Although my classes don’t start until the 27th, I’m back on campus early to start prepping for sorority recruitment with my sisters.

We had “polish week” this week which is essentially a week of learning how to recruit new members for our chapter. Aside from that, I spent much of the week settling in, seeing friends and getting all kinds of blog work done before the school year begins. I also had my first photo shoot yesterday which was a success!

As stressed as I was feeling about coming back to school, I’ve found myself loving this independence and am trying to get back into a routine. I am excited (and a bit nervous) to begin my classes next week and will keep you updated on how it goes! As of right now my plan is to continue posting my regularly scheduled blog posts (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sundays), so stay tuned. Best of luck to all my ladies headed back to school!

THIS WEEK’S WEEK IN MY LIFE VLOG

The hour-long college week in my life vlogs are back! I know you’ve missed them and honestly so have I. These vlogs help hold me accountable and really capture some of my favorite college moments with my friends. I am so happy I was able to get back to it this week and will be sure to keep them coming. WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

8.16.20— I spent all morning in my cozy new bed getting my Sunday posts up, editing vlogs, and responding to emails. I have been a bit behind due to moving so it felt good to get caught up. I lounged around the apartment today, finished hanging some things and went to see my bestie girls Olivia and Lauren (my suitemates from freshman year) in their new apartment.

8.17.20— Today was our first day of polish week; I spent the morning learning how to recruit new members. Ally (my big) and I went downtown to Paninis for lunch and a whole lot of catching up. Went to see some of my sisters tonight to hear about their summer’s.

8.18.20— Dressed and ready for polish week day 2. Today we learned all about virtual recruitment and how zoom is going to work. I spent most of the afternoon filming, getting work done, and planning content for the next month or so. Headed to hang with Olivia and Lauren at their apartment to ring in Olivia’s 20th birthday!

8.19.20— Comfy clothes were the dress code for polish week day 3 and I’m not complaining. My roomies and I added some finishing touches to our apartment this afternoon. Just waiting on a few more furniture pieces and than it’ll be complete! Talked with my Manion fam tonight which was just what I needed.

8.20.20— Lauren and I headed for a walk before my Movers and Groovers event. Filmed a few videos while I had the apartment to myself and then picked up my sweet friend Jill and her roommate for dinner downtown. I am so happy Jill is finally in Kent; she has an insta-blog as well so we will be shooting lots of content together this year!

8.21.20— Today consisted of filming Tik Toks for Lulus, planning outfits, editing videos, snapping some photos, and quite literally everything in between. This week has felt so lazy and so full all at the same time!

8.22.20— Lauren was the kindest friend ever and helped me shoot a week’s worth of content bright and early this morning. I am so grateful for her help and for such an awesome first photoshoot in Kent. I headed back to her apartment this evening to hang with my girls for a bit.
