One of the many joys of my job is getting sent clothes to review and style here on the blog. Lulus is hands down one of my favorite stores to choose items from! They have a wide variety of styles and everything is such high quality. They’ve stepped up their game big time this season and have everything from cozy knits, to trendy shoes, to trusty denim.
I’ve got a handful of new items to share with you today that I’m currently loving. Plus, of course, a few tips to help you transition your wardrobe from summer to fall!
As you know, I love anything lace-up. I have a pair of white lace-up heels from SheIn that I wore all summer long but they are a bit too fancy for everyday wear and I wanted something with a shorter heel. I stumbled across these shoes on Lulus’ site and instantly added them to my cart.
When I later found this white top in the “New Arrivals”, I knew it’d look adorable with the shoes. The open back accent and tie detail is the cutest combination and looks killer with the heels. To keep these two pieces casual, I paired them with a pair of distressed Levis. I’m usually an Express girl when it comes to jeans but I’ve been dying to pick up a pair of Levis and see what they are all about after hearing so many blog friends rave about their stuff.
I have to admit, I do love them! They definitely run big in the waist (I’m wearing a 25) but they have that effortlessly distressed/oversized fit that I haven’t been able to find prior to this pair. I added a black belt and hoops to finish off this look. It’s perfect for a night out!

I’m a sucker for a little black dress. If you saw my collection of them you would think I was crazy! So naturally, I needed another one… lol! I promise this one is different than the rest. It’s a simple swing dress with a babydoll fit. This is one of my favorite dress styles for the fall. They pair effortlessly with everything: denim jackets, cardigans, and even shawls!
I grabbed this black and tan shawl from Lulus as well and am in love with it. The key to the transition season is layering; these are the perfect piece to have on hand for those days when it’s chilly in the morning but scorching hot by afternoon. This one is super soft and has the cutest neutral color palette.
For shoes, I paired this dress with square toe, heeled mules. These 90s classics have been revived this season and I can’t say I’m mad about it. Although they aren’t the easiest to walk in, they are the cutest transition shoe. Plus, they give your outfit height without looking too dressy.
I can’t get enough of felt hats this year! I grabbed a nude hat from Lulus last month and have worn it so much that I decided I needed a black one too. A hat will complete your outfit in no time and makes your third-day hair a bit more acceptable (double win).

I had to give this top a go! It’s one of those button front sweaters that can be worn open as a cardigan or buttoned up as a sweater. It’s super lightweight making it the perfect transition from soft long sleeves to chunky knits! Plus, it’s got a cute collar which makes it work for almost any occasion, school especially!
I’ve got it on with the same jeans from the first look. Truthfully, I would have preferred a pair of cropped flares with this top but I forgot them at home for this photoshoot so these will have to do in the meantime, lol.
Close-toed mules are my jam during the fall. They are a fantastic transition from sandals to booties and look cute with just about everything. These are from Chinese Laundry and are super comfy too! Of course, I had to add statement earrings and a felt hat. No McKenzie outfit would be complete without the two!

Who doesn’t love a sweatshirt and jeans?! I’ll admit it’s not my most popular outfit combo but it seems to be one of your favorites. I’ve seen distressed tees and sweatshirts everywhere this season and had to get my hands on one. This black sweatshirt is the perfect amount of oversized and it’s got just a few holes and raw hems.
I’m wearing those same Levis again (can you tell I’m obsessed?!). These give off a super relaxed feel, especially when paired with black platform sneakers. I love my Supergas; not only are they trendy but they’re great for distance walking too! Pop on black sunnies and gold hoops for cool girl vibes.

I’m so happy I was able to pick up so many cute new pieces to style. I’ve already worn a handful of these pieces to class and will be wearing the rest over the next few weeks! Let me know which transition look was your favorite in the comments below. I’m definitely a fan of these jeans but am going to have to go with the dress + shawl outfit myself! Can’t wait to share more Lulus finds with you in the future. Until then…
With love, McKenz
