I’ve been reaching for comfy clothes more than ever these days and I’ve been feeling so guilty about it. I don’t know why but it feels wrong (???) to wear joggers every day when I have drawers full of jeans and cute tops waiting to be worn. However, comfy is practical and as so many of you have reminded me, is the reality for a lot of us right now.
So, I’m taking advantage and sharing some of my current favorite loungewear pieces. As much as I love my matching sweat sets, they tend to get kicked to the curb once it starts getting warm out. Today I’m sharing three ways to transition your comfy clothes into spring while still looking trendy as heck!
Let’s be real, “spring” looks different everywhere you go. While Floridians are soaking up the sunshine and seventy-degree temperatures in the middle of March, we Ohio peeps are celebrating the days it creeps up to fifty. This outfit is a perfect representation of what I wear on a day-to-day basis this time of year—in fact, I wore this just last week for a day of online school + blog work.
The key to spring temperatures is layers! I’m starting off in my absolute favorite tank top from Forever 21. This top is double lined and is just the right length, not too cropped but shows off an itty bit of skin. I can’t stop wearing flannels these days. For a little warmth layer one over top of your tank. If you get hot throughout the day, take it off and tie it around your shoulders or waist for a trendy finish.
I rave over these joggers 24/7 here on the blog. They are under $15 from SheIn with my code Q4mckenz15 and come in a gazillion colors. I have them on in the white today and am popping on a pair of black chunky boots to go with. I love these thick soles—they instantly make your loungewear look ~cool~ and ~trendy~. Bonus points if you layer on a few necklaces and add a pair of black sunglasses.

I just wrapped up a brand deal with Reebok where I was gifted the cutest colorful sneakers. The Leather Legacy sneakers are 70s inspired with a retro design and a mix of bold colors. I was so excited to style these babies. Because these make such a statement, I knew I needed to keep the rest of the outfit rather simple.
With temperatures warming up it only felt right to pull out my favorite tennis skirt. This one is from Spanx and is my absolute favorite. It’s got built-in spandex underneath to keep your booty from being on display and the white is double lined so no see-through worries here. I wasn’t sure what to pair with this skirt but ultimately decided a little matching set moment was right up my alley. Believe it or not, this isn’t a workout tank. It’s actually the same top I was wearing in the last outfit just in white!
As cute as this outfit was, it was still missing something. I found a teal hoodie sitting in my closet that matched my shoes to a tee and tied it around my shoulders. Not only did this tie the look together but if you get cold mid-day you can pop this sweatshirt on for an added layer!

My favorite way to ease into spring is by swapping my neutrals for a pop of color. As much as I love my white + black joggers, these blue ones deserve their time to shine too. These are the same style as the first pair I shared in this post and are hands down in my top ten favorite pieces from SheIn. These joggers are the perfect weight and aren’t oversized to the point you look frumpy.
I’m keeping things simple everywhere else. Just a cropped white tee and high-top sneakers will do. These shoes are the perfect dupe for my platform Converse that are currently sold out everywhere! Pop on a few gold accessories and a pair of black sunglasses to finish off the outfit.
