Tied Up Tops To Wear This Spring

It was sunny and fifty-five here in Ohio and my gosh was it just the perfect mid-week treat. People were outside playing yard games, walking to class, and just ~living~. It was so refreshing to see after what feels like an eternity of being cooped up inside.

I even made it out of the apartment for an afternoon photoshoot in my favorite parking garage. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve taken photos here but with some adorable new tops from Princess Polly sitting in my closet, I decided it was about time to get back out there. Here’s to (hopefully) more sunshine—it sure does make my job a lot more fun!

Pretty Peasant Style 

Princess Polly has got the most unique pieces on the market. I love shopping from them because they’ve got items that are unexpected yet still versatile. This peasant-style top was too cute to resist. I’m usually a fan of their bodysuits but this specific top had hundreds of reviews with plenty of people raving so I gave it a shot.

It’s very cropped so I recommend styling it with a pair of super high-rise jeans. I just got these mom jeans in the mail from Express and am obsessed with the fit. They are super relaxed throughout the legs but still fitted in the waist which is perfect if you’re on the petite side like me. Plus, they come up far past the belly button leaving just the right amount of skin exposed between the jeans and my top.

I love a good open-back detail and these lace-up tops are all the rage this spring. You’ll notice that as a common theme throughout today’s blog post. Because this top gave me bohemian vibes, my crochet earrings and felt hat were the perfect accessories. I slipped into a pair of nude mules to finish off the outfit.

Going Out Vibes  

It seems like bars and restaurants are beginning to return to 100% capacity in many areas. I know people are eager to get back out there and I don’t blame you for wanting to do it in style. Let’s be real, the getting ready part of going out is always more fun than the main event anyway.

A bodysuit like this one will leave you looking best dressed. This came in a few different colors but I grabbed it in white. I figured this was the perfect piece to style with black jeans now and with blue denim shorts come summertime. It self ties along the neck and across the chest giving you just a little bit of underboob. I’m such a fan and love the little cut out along the stomach.

You can never go wrong with black jeans. This pair from Express is a staple in my closet. They’ve got minimal rips and a straight-leg fit that pairs perfectly with heels. I always love a pair of heels when going out; the extra lift is a major confidence booster and lace-ups make your legs look miles long.

Back In Black 

I cannot stay away from little black bodysuits. If you know me you know I’ve got a gazillion in my closet and reach for them constantly when in an outfit time crunch. This one gives you the best of both worlds with business in the front and a party in the back.

I love a good statement sleeve and these ones bishop out just a bit. There’s a small tie across the front too. However, the back is all open. It’s got crisis cross details too which you know I love so much! Depending on what you wear on the bottom this bodysuit could seriously work for so many different occasions.

Of course, I had to pair this cutie with my all-time favorite Express jeans. These cropped flares have been my go-to’s for almost a year now and are still going strong! I love wearing them with sneakers, sandals, and even heels for a little extra height. Add a cute purse for a pop of color and you’re good to go!
