I spent a long, long time contemplating whether or not I was going to continue Weekly Wrap Ups into the new year. I created these six years ago—at the time I had just finished up the 100 Happy Days challenge where you take a photo + share a small moment of happiness throughout each day. I wanted to continue the challenge on a larger scale while documenting what I was wearing each day. Thus, Weekly Wrap Ups were born.
Somehow here I sit six years later with a Sunday habit as mindless as washing your hands after using the restroom. These posts don’t get many views. They do not help my search engine or increase my engagement. Nor will they ever see the day of going viral; but as I sat pondering my thoughts as to whether or not I should keep them going I found myself shedding many tears.
My 2022 will come with many new adventures—hard goodbyes and many new beginnings, unexpected twists and turns, and arguably some of the most defining moments of my life. I’m not sure if I’ll have a great big mirror to share an outfit photo consistently in each day, or if my travels will “get in the way”. Who knows if I’ll have time to write or if Sundays will slip away, the way they often seem to these days. However, I do know that my heart aches at the thought of not having these tiny snippets of my day to look back on. I do know that no matter how intense this career gets for me, no matter how far my hobby turns into a business, these posts will always remind me of why I started. The intimate, online diary that I write to each day, forgetting that everyone and their mother can read if they so choose.
And because you’d never go to the bathroom without washing your hands after.
Starting 2022 off in Oahu, Hawaii one of my dream destinations, writing from a comped hotel room wondering how on earth this silly little challenge turned into this. Living the dream and feeling so damn lucky. Cheers to an unpredictable, sometimes messy, hell of an adventure kind of year.
With love, McKenz

We used our Go City passes today to get to Kualo Ranch—there were tons of activities to do here horseback riding, zip-lining, ATVs, and more. We did the secret island beach day and got to see turtles, shoot some content, and enjoy all of the water equipment! It was truly the coolest experience complete with the most amazing views.

After morning yoga under the palms and breakfast with the most amazing view, we ventured over to Lanikai beach per the local’s recommendations. It was a much calmer beach and the scenery was incredible. We ordered takeout + watched the sunset before heading home for the night.
