I want to start this Weekly Wrap Up by saying thank you for all of your sweet messages on continuing Weekly Wrap Ups into 2022. As I said last Sunday, it was a decision I thought long and hard about. Although I know these posts will take on new forms as the year progresses, I know years from now I’ll be so grateful to have documented these times.

This week has been a whirlwind—I wrapped up the second leg of my Hawaii trip (which was ah-mazing), flew twelve hours back home, and then packed up for my drive back to Kent. I cannot believe how fast this month of winter break went… suddenly it’s already time to crack open the textbooks and dive into the spring semester. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for this last one in Kent. In the meantime, you can find me frantically checking things off of my to-do list before class Tuesday, lol.

THIS WEEK’S VLOG

Because we were in Hawaii for so long, I decided to go ahead and split the vlogs up into three different parts. Today I’m sharing the first of them complete with our Waikiki travel itinerary, rainforest hikes, private beach days, sunset sails, and more. We truly had the best time and I cannot wait to crank out the rest of this content for you!

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

Sunday, January 9

After a morning walk around Waikiki and the yummiest breakfast from a local fruit stand, Sam and I headed over to Pearl Harbor for a day full of history. We got to tour the USS Missouri and the Aviation Museum. It was the perfect way to spend this gorgeous day! We checked into our new hotel and spent a chill evening around the pool.

Monday, January 10

Spent the morning shooting content around our hotel and then packed our bags for a beach day by the lagoons. This was definitely my favorite beach we went to. The waves were gigantic and the scenery was beautiful! We took some super cute photos, watched the sunset, and finished the evening at a beachfront restaurant.

Tuesday, January 11

Made it back to Waikiki for the last leg of our trip. After a fun afternoon of exploring, we got dressed and ready for a luau! We got to eat a yummy Hawaiian dinner, see all kinds of hoola dances, and meet so many sweet tourists. It was quite the night and definitely a “must” on your Hawaii itinerary.

Wednesday, January 12

On our last full day in Hawaii, we decided to go on a food tour around the North Shore. We stopped at all kinds of cool spots to take photos, saw the biggest waves in the country, and ate tons of local Hawaiian food. It was a long day but such a fun one. Finished the night off by meeting a subscriber—so fun!

Thursday, January 13

Enjoying one last morning in our penthouse suite snapping photos and enjoying the beachfront view. We had the most amazing stay at the Hyatt Centric in Waikiki Beach! Enjoyed a few hours by the pool, ate one last Hawaiian meal, and then headed to the airport to catch my first flight back home.

Friday, January 14

My first flight of the day was an eight-hour red-eye. I connected in Houston and made it home around 2 pm on Friday. With a blizzard headed towards the east coast, I decided it was in my best interest to drive back to school Saturday instead of Sunday. Which of course meant no time to chill—as soon as I got home I started packing up!

Saturday, January 15

Grabbed breakfast with my dad this morning before packing my car and driving to Kent (for the last time 😭). It was quite an easy drive this time around and I was greeted by my sweet roomies with all kinds of catching up to do. We chatted all about our month while unpacking everything. Excited to see what this semester has in store!
