Week In My Life + Outfits Of The Week

My first full week in California is complete! It’s been a crazy one, to say the least. We started the week with a short and sweet trip to Laguna, I started my summer internship at Bleusalt, and I enjoyed my first few work-from-home days. I’m adjusting just fine here—loving my new room and feeling so lucky to be living with two of my best friends which has made the transition much easier.

I will say, I haven’t quite gotten used to the time change yet. I’ve been waking up at the crack of dawn and going to bed so early each night. But, it’s working for me so I suppose that’s all that matters. I’ve got some fun things on the agenda for next week. As always, I’ll be sharing it all with ya! Stay tuned.

Sunday, May 29

After a fun night out for my birthday, we packed the car and drove to Laguna for a quick 48-hour stay. We sat on the beach all day then showered and got ready for birthday dinner. We went to the chicest spot with the most amazing view. I had the cheeseburger and it was so yummy + the girls surprised me with a sweet dessert treat. We stayed in tonight watching Hannah Montana the movie.

Monday, May 30

Devon drove up from San Diego to spend the day with us. We shot some photos, walked around town, and then spent the rest of our day soaking up the sun. The waves were huge today and the views even better. I love the OC so much and wish it were just a little closer to come more often. It was the perfect Memorial Day!

Tuesday, May 31

Jules and I ran a few errands then drove over to Malibu so I could do a little test run before my first day tomorrow. We shot some photos along the mountains and had a makeshift beach picnic. For dinner, we went to The Sunset Restaurant where we had the best shrimp tacos and calamari. It was so nice getting to spend some time just the two of us.

Wednesday, June 1 

Today was my first day with Bleusalt! I picked up some new arrivals in Hollywood and was then off to Malibu to meet my “team” + try on some new pieces in the store. They let me out super early so I bought a swimsuit and trekked over to the beach to lay out for a few hours. Today I felt the most overwhelming gratitude to be here for the summer. I never dreamed this would be my life!

Thursday, June 2 

I had a quick call with our social media manager this morning then had the rest of the day to tackle styledby things. I ran a few errands, edited YouTube videos, and wrote a blog post. Curled up in bed to watch some Stranger Things tonight. I have to say, I’m not loving the new season.

Friday, June 3 

Today was another day full of editing + organizing content. It’s a different world over here—at school, I was always planning how to get more content whereas here I’m trying to figure out what to do with all of it. I spent the afternoon shooting some photos for an upcoming wedding guest blog post and filming another YouTube video. I made dinner for Sam and me and then we went out for drinks.

Saturday, June 4 

After a hot girl walk, I got dressed and ready for the beach. We drove over to Santa Monica this afternoon. Unfortunately it was a June gloom kind of afternoon so it wasn’t our most successful beach day. It still felt good to be out in the sun and so close to the water. We walked around the neighborhood and had a cozy night watching more Stranger Things.
