My first week living in Italy was certainly a treat! After a long travel day, I touched down in Florence to begin my study abroad semester.
My feet are aching from all the walking and we are getting used to no AC, a new language, and living in a city but my heart is happy being back with my people. We had a pretty chill week full of orientation and getting acclimated; ready for my first full week of classes to begin tomorrow so that I can ease back into a routine + let the weekend travel fun begin.
Stay tuned + make sure you’re following me on Instagram @styledbymckenz as I’ve been sharing tons of stories + outfits over there.
Oh, and you may have noticed weekly wrap-ups looking a little different- there’s no full-length mirror here, so having to get creative and snap my outfit pics outside. Enjoy 😜
With love, McKenz

After a lengthy three flights and nearly 24 hours of travel time, I made it to Florence! Reunited with my roomies in our new space then spent the afternoon exploring my new city. We got gelato, picked up a few necessities for the apartment, and caught up with one another. So happy to finally be here!

Our last day of orientation was just a few hours long. I spent much of the afternoon playing catch up on styledby things + filming a few work things. We made dinner at home then ventured over to the Duomo for a little shopping + a drink!

Today was my first day of senior year—I am in awe of how quickly the years have flown! I only had one class today, Italian Fashion and Culture which meant the rest of my day had lots of free time. Of course, we had to go out for our first Thursday all together. We went to Lions and the Red Garter to sing some karaoke! So much fun.

The girls and I ventured to a cute coastal beach town, Castiglioncello today! We took the train and spent the day by the water. I was shocked at how clear it was but also incredibly rocky. We swam, ate at a local food stand, and enjoyed a drink with the most amazing view. I hope we can get to the water more before temps cool down!
