Week In My Life + Outfits Of The Week

My first week back at home was oh so good. After months of being on the go, traveling to a new country each weekend, I cannot even begin to tell you how good it felt to sleep in my own bed. I spent most of the week filling my family in on study abroad stories and lazing around for hours on end. Don’t get me wrong, after one week of it I’m already itching to get out of the house LOL.

Trying hard to soak in these slow moments before my 2023 travel calendar begins. Can’t wait to share what I’m up to next… in the meantime, enjoy this fun little recap. Isn’t it nice having #ootds back in orderly fashion?! 😜

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

Monday, December 19

The first day after a trip is always what I call “lazy productive”. I let myself sleep in a bit then put comfy clothes on and unpacked my suitcase, put away all kinds of laundry, and unboxed a huge stack of packages that came while I was away. It feels so good to be back home!

Tuesday, December 20

Off to Hair Razors, today to see my sweet Sarah. After four months abroad my hair was in dire need of some TLC. She gave me a fresh vanilla blonde baby light, a trim along my ends, and long face-framing layers. I’m obsessed with the way it turned out.

Wednesday, December 21

I just really needed to have a no bones day. You know, the kind where you take melatonin the night before and draw the blinds so that it’s pitch black in the room and you can actually sleep in. I laid in bed all day scrolling through Tik Tok, Instagram, and YouTube and it felt so good to just do nothing for a change.

Thursday, December 22

Every time I come home for a break my dad and I go to the only breakfast spot in town, Tom & Rays, and have a meal together. It’s one of my favorite things we do together and their new chorizo breakfast burrito certainly didn’t disappoint. I worked on a few blog posts and submitted a few campaigns before heading to the airport to pick up my Grandma and Poppy for the holiday fun!

Friday, December 23

Spent the day hanging out with my grandparents, catching up on lost time. After many hours chit chatting I finally got dressed and ready. We went out to Grillmarx with the Manions and all the grandparents. I had the best chicken bacon avocado sandwich and got to see everyone for the first time in a long time! Love.

Saturday, December 24

Even at 21 years old Madison and I still find ourselves matching on Christmas Eve. All dolled up in our new Altard State dresses for church. We had an amazing homecooked meal and spent the night all together exchanging old stories and laughs.

Sunday, December 25

Opening presents in our matching Christmas pajamas bright and early this morning. We spent the entire day eating and spending time with family while lazing around on the couch. I even got a head start on my new book Carrie Soto is back by Taylor Jenkins Reid! It was a lovely day—wishing a very Merry Christmas to you and yours!
