WEEKLY WRAP UP
At the beginning of April, I packed my bags and drove my car down to Saint Petersburg, Florida. I wanted to take a break from the constant travel and was craving an extended stay across from the beach. I have to say, my time in the sunshine state has been nothing short of incredible. I’m loving every second of this beach bum era and am fully embracing being a local.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been sharing tons of outfit ideas that I pre-photographed, however, I’ve yet to hop on here and share what I’m actually wearing and doing in Florida these days. I figured today was the perfect time to sit down and round up my most recent outfits. We’ve done everything from sunrise-sunset beach days, to first dates, baseball games, and brunch.
Hopefully, these sixteen outfit ideas give you a little bit of outfit inspo for your next trip to Florida and get you excited for the upcoming summer temperatures! Enjoy!

According to Pinterest, we should all be embracing the coastal cowgirl aesthetic this year. I have to say when you live across the street from the beach and feel most confident in a cowboy hat it’s not too hard! I fell in love with this pink two-piece set—the strapless top and maxi skirt look amazing styled together but can also be worn separately.
There’s nothing better than a three-for-one outfit. Of course, no outfit of mine is complete without a hat. This straw cowboy hat has seashells along the brim—how perfect!
We’ve had some incredible sunsets here in Saint Petersburg and I’m embracing every one of them! As you probably know, my bikini collection is huge with nearly 500+ swimsuits in my collection. However, this black string bikini from Seven Swim has to be my favorite of them all. This female-owned brand features sustainable styles that will leave you feeling your sexiest. I’m a sucker for this unlined triangle top and high-cut bottoms.
Without a doubt, this is my most flattering bikini and it scores me hundred of compliments every time I wear it.
No better feeling than showering, getting ready, and putting on a cute outfit after a successful beach day. This little tank is a part of a four-pack from Abercrombie that I’m obsessed with. There’s a black, white, tan, and olive green—these are the best cotton, ribbed tanks to wear on an everyday basis.
Lately, I’ve been loving the low-rise jeans trend. This straight-leg style is super loose and quite baggy throughout the legs/crotch. However, with a cropped tank they make me feel so snatched. Cuffing them along the ankles and slipping into simple Roxy flip-flops—I wear these constantly. Such an easy outfit but one that never fails!

Summer is right around the corner which means all the graduation festivities are happening beforehand. I’m mourning my college days while embracing all of the post-grad fun in this adorable white dress from Lulus. This would be the perfect piece to wear with your cap & gown if you are a 2023 grad. I’m barefoot in the sand but a simple white heel would pull this outfit together perfectly for the special occasion!
Who doesn’t love a cute little tank?! This yellow one from Beginning Boutique has scored me so many compliments. I wore this to a baseball game and on a first date—with straight-leg jeans, simple sandals, and a purse this is such an effortless outfit that can work for any occasion.
I know finding a bra with tops like this can be kind of tricky. I’ve been wearing these CAKES underneath of many tops and they are the best. They come in different cup sizes and can be shopped here.
Most days you can find me curled up on the beach with a good book in hand. I have this color-blocked bikini in three different colors and it’s hands down one of my favorites. You can’t go wrong with a triangle top that’s stitched in place. This is flattering and functional; with no self-ties or clasps, there’s really no chance of this falling off.
Plus those cheeky bottoms make your butt look amaze. Big, big fan of this one.

I hosted my first event ever on Saint Pete Beach last week. I wore the cutest white strapless dress from Abercrombie. This style is one of their best sellers and rightfully so. The fit and flare style looks amazing on everyone and the quality is insane. Not to mention it also has pockets! They are constantly restocking this style so keep your eyes peeled for more colors coming this summer.
I’ve shared this outfit in a previous blog post but it’s one of my favorites so I feel like it deserves another moment to shine. Buddy Love has been my go-to spot to shop for modest yet trendy tops. I love the puff sleeves and peplum detail of this sweet top however the plunging neckline gives this a hint of sexy. With straight-leg jeans and a simple pair of sandals, this is the perfect outfit for a first date or an afternoon of shopping which is what I wore this for.
Spring has sprung and the best transition outfits are complete with a bright-colored bodysuit, straight-leg jeans, and a good ole pair of Converse. You can easily layer a button-up, cardigan, or hoodie over top of this if temperatures are a bit cooler for you. (Although I’m fully embracing the Florida sunshine, haha). This whole outfit is from Express—I shared a blog post last week with nine more outfits I’m loving from them right now if you’re wanting more outfit inspo.
Been soaking up all the beach days here in Saint Pete Beach. This light blue bikini is from the Cupshe X STASSIE collab and it’s one of my favorites from their site. This underwire bikini has tons of support with thick straps and a clasp along the back.
The bottoms have a high cut and are just the right amount of cheeky along the back. Such a flattering style and a gorgeous color to wear this time of year. Bonus points for this hat— it’s a recent Lulus find that’s been scoring me compliment after compliment. It’s giving Lack of Colors without the hefty price tag which I appreciate.
Yee, haw giving more coastal cowgirl inspo with this incredible combination. I’ve been hanging onto this pale yellow corset from Urban Outfitters and finally wore it out for dinner and a night of line dancing. This comes in a gazillion colors and is one of their bestsellers; I’m in love!
I paired this with my favorite denim shorts from American Eagle. I’ve been wearing these nonstop over swimsuits and with basic tanks for weekend errands. I can’t recommend them enough. Giving things that Western feel with my newest obsession—these tall brown Dolce Vita cowgirl boots. If you’re in between sizes I suggest going up a half size!
This little dress and sandals combination was perfect for a full day shopping and eating my way through Tampa. I legit got stopped by ten different people on the street to be asked where this dress is from. Goodnight Macaroon shipping takes a bit but it’s so worth it for this For Love and Lemons dupe. This def runs short so if you’re on the taller side, you’ll need to throw on a pair of jean shorts and wear this as a tunic.
I’m adding bright pink heels to give this a pop of color. Love love love.
All the post-beach day feels in this amazing olive green two-piece set. This is one of the only Shein pieces I’ve been wearing recently but it’s a favorite of mine. Makes that summer tan pop like crazy. Not too casual but not too fancy, that perfect “in-between” outfit for any occasion. I’m giving myself some height with these Marc Fisher platforms. These are sadly running low in stock as they are from last summer but man are they amazing. This style makes your legs look miles long and is so flattering.
Rainy days call for painting with your girlfriends. We headed into town for some pottery and I kept things super simple with a pair of denim shorts and a little baby tee. I have this $11 tee from American Eagle in five different colors because it’s just that good. Super soft, not too fitted, and a little longer. This new pink and white striped pattern is so summery— I love it!
I’ve been a hot girl walking every single morning here and am loving being active each day. This bright purple set is from one of my favorite activewear brands, Glowmode. Their fabric is very similar to Lululemon’s Align—oh so soft, and sucks you in in all the right spots. You can use my code Q4mckenz15 on any purchase you make from them.
However, the real star of this outfit is my Hoka sneakers. I bought these back in February and have been wearing them almost every single day. The color combo is impeccable. I want another pair so badly but have been holding out, haha.
I keep joking that I’m in my coastal grandma era and this outfit is me really embracing it, haha. I love this pink and white striped button-up so much. It’s the perfect layering piece over a simple tank or bikini or you can wear it buttoned up on its own like I am here. I have this front tucked into a pair of longer shorts from American Eagle. This dad fit is really effortless and helps keep things casual.
With head-to-toe raffia accessories, I’m embracing all those beach town vibes.
What fun it’s been to embrace all of the small beach town vibes these last few weeks. We’re over halfway through our extended stay in Saint Petersburg, Florida and I’m already dreading leaving. I’ve loved it here more than I could ever imagine, especially because it has meant sunshine, swimsuits, and sandals in the middle of spring!
I hope this post gave you some outfit inspiration for your next vacation or just every day living in the sunshine state. Thanks so much for sticking around—for daily outfit ideas be sure to follow along via Instagram stories @styledbymckenz. Catch ya Wednesday with more outfit ideas!
